Bhanoo Sharma, M.D.

Dr. Sharma is a first generation Indian American, and has a strong devotion to helping people in India that are less fortunate than he has been as an American surgeon. As a result of his dedication, Dr. Sharma spent one year volunteering his time as the Coordinator of Outreach to refugee camps for the Krishna Hira Nand Memorial Hospital & Research Institute of Medical Sciences in Jammu, India.

As a Chicago native, Dr. Sharma attended the prestigious Northwestern University, where he received his bachelor’s degree, prior to attending Rush University College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree.

Dr. Sharma completed his residency training in general surgery at University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospital. He also completed a fellowship at Southcenter Cosmetic Surgery & Hair Restoration. He is an experienced liposuction physician and takes pride in connecting with his patients and helping them achieve their goals. “Laser-assisted liposuction gives physicians an added tool in our arsenal to aid in improving cosmetic results. The skin tightness achieved through the addition of laser-assisted liposuction is an added benefit that is not possible with traditional liposuction alone.”

Dr. Sharma enjoys playing team sports like basketball, baseball, softball and soccer. He is an avid hiker, baseball card collector and home remodeler. He is currently working with a charity that provides water in a sustainable fashion to villages in developing nations.
