Dr. Marosan escaped the communist regime of Ceausescu in Romania with his parents and a younger brother, who also became a physician. Their nine month journey took him through Israel and a Greek refugee camp before arriving in Buffalo, New York at age 15. Three days after arriving, he was in high school, with no knowledge of the English language. Not letting that stand in his way, he fully applied himself to realize his childhood dream of becoming a surgeon.
Following his medical school training at Rush Medical College in Chicago and two years of general surgery residency, he joined the Air Force. He felt it was his duty to serve his adopted country, who gave him so much. He completed his residency training in general surgery and plastic surgery in seven years, and successfully became board certified in both.
After 10 years in the military, he resigned from his commission as a Lt. Colonel and started his plastic surgery practice in Bellevue, Washington. Dr. Marosan is knowledgeable is very detail oriented. He is always accessible to his patients, whether they are local or internationally based.
Dr. Marosan lives in Bellevue with his wife and two sons. They enjoy outdoor activities and he also plays soccer in the Greater Seattle Soccer League.
