
Dr. DiFrancesco is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery and maintains an active membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. A native of New York, she graduated with honors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College. Dr. DiFrancesco also served as Chief Resident in Surgery at the University of Massachusetts.
After completing plastic surgery training in New York, Dr. DiFrancesco participated in a highly specialized oculoplastic surgery fellowship with Clinton D. McCord, MD of Atlanta. While there, she pioneered research investigating eyelid innervation to avoid complications after eyelid surgery. Additionally, she completed the prestigious Aesthetic and Breast Surgery fellowship with Drs. Codner, Nahai, and Hester and Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta.
Dr. DiFrancesco has an interest in aesthetic surgery, minimal scar and endoscopic breast surgery, as well as surgery of the eyelid and orbit, including trauma, cancer, cosmetic, and complex eyelid/orbital reconstruction.
She actively serves as a board member for Sisters…By Choice, Inc., a non-profit organization providing innovative programs and efforts that increase breast cancer education and awareness, deliver detection and treatment services especially to the underserved and at-risk population and provide support and counsel to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.
