Amir Nasir, M.D.

Dr. Nasir is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, who did a Fellowship in Aesthetics and Reconstructive Surgery at Boston University. He earned an M.D. from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. In addition, he earned a Master’s of Science in Public Health at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.

Dr. Nasir has served as Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at both Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY and at University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT where he helped to train the next generation of plastic and general surgeons.

Dr. Nasir is from a small town in Finger Lakes, NY and is married to a wonderful woman, has a hilarious little boy, a loyal yellow English lab and two skeptical, prowling cats.

Dr. Nasir also served for two years in the U.S. Peace Corp in West Africa on the Guinea Warm Eradication Project. He also worked on the correction for the Hubble Space Telescope and has received both the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Pride in Excellence Award from Ball Aerospace.

Dr. Nasir believes in offering honest and clear communication, while forming a partnership with each of his patients. He sees them each as individuals and enjoys helping them achieve great results in a safe manner. He also believes that truly caring for each patient and having a great sense of humor helps in surgery and in life.

In his spare time, he enjoys books, comedies, hiking, walking in the woods, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
