Edward W. Malin, M.D., FACS

Dr. Malin completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Harvard University. He received his M.D. from The George Washington University School of Medicine where he served as Class President, 2001 – 2003. He earned a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

He completed his Post Doctorate Residency in General Surgery from Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. Subsequently, he achieved board certification and was inducted as a Fellow at the American College of Surgeons. He trained in burn surgery at the Brooke Army Medical Center.

Dr. Malin brings a wealth of experience to Sono Bello, including active duty in the U.S. Army, Medical Corps, where he serves as a major officer, plastic surgeon, general surgeon and burn/trauma surgeon. Previously, he served at The Office of the Vice President of the United States, on The President’s Advisory Commission, and for the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He consulted with the American Association for Health Plans (formerly GHAA).

Dr. Malin is an avid athlete and enjoys golf and sailing. He is married to his wife Wendy and has three children.
