Elizabeth Whitaker, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Whitaker is a double board certified and fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon. She obtained her medical degree from the prestigious Duke University School of Medicine where she was also awarded the American Medical Women’s Award. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Davidson College. She was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta National Premedical Honor Society and a National Merit Scholarship finalist.

Dr. Whitaker completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. She was then selected for a highly competitive subspecialty Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Dr. Whitaker is Double Board Certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She is also a member of multiple national and local medical societies and serves on the board of her local county medical society.

Married with a five year old daughter, Dr. Whitaker enjoys travel, movies, “Game of Thrones”, and spending time doing anything with her daughter.
