John A. Millard, M.D.

Dr. Millard is a double board certified plastic surgeon and is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He completed his M.D. at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Denver in Biology.

Following medical school, Dr. Millard completed a fellowship and residencies in General Surgery as well as a highly prestigious residency in Plastic Surgery at Duke University, which is considered one of the top plastic surgery programs in the country. He has also served in the military as an assistant director of emergency services and as a flight surgeon. Through his experience as a flight surgeon, Dr. Millard was able to innovate the plastic surgery field by being among the earliest surgeons to develop and use safety checklists while performing plastic surgery.

While with patients, Dr. Millard strives to make himself available to everyone’s needs and to provide a safe and comfortable surgical environment. In his spare time, Dr. Millard enjoys bicycling, learning about history, and writing. He also participates in charitable work, and his favorite charity is the John Lynch Foundation.
