Ruthie T. McCrary, M.D.

Dr. McCrary was drawn to plastic and cosmetic surgery because she finds it tremendously rewarding to help people look as good as they feel. Her natural artistic skills and meticulous attention to detail have earned her a reputation as a perfectionist.

She began her academic journey at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and then obtained her medical degree at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. While there, she earned The Distinguished Service Award, The Joseph Ferguson, M.D., research Award and later completed her General Surgery requirements. She then headed east for a Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the Boston Medical Center’s Department of Surgery, where she also served as chief resident. In addition, she completed an intensive, accredited Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency through Wayne State University.

Dr. McCrary believes that you should always look as great as you feel, because it will allow you to approach life with a renewed sense of self-confidence and purpose. Dr. McCrary has been published, made numerous presentations, and has practiced plastic surgery in Birmingham, MI. In her spare time she enjoys photography, golf, tennis, and travel. Her favorite charities are Humble Design and Breast Cancer Charities of America.
