8 Best and Worst Dressed at the Grammys

Ah, awards season. That wonderful time of year when we sit on the couch in our pajamas eating junk food and judging the glamorous (or wacky) outfits worn by our favorite stars. The Grammys in particular always offer some fun fodder for around the water cooler on Monday morning. There were some definite red carpet successes at this year’s awards, and some more questionable outfits as well.

The Best

Taylor Swift

On a night with a surprising lack of glamorous dresses, Taylor Swift brought her A game. The starlet stunned in a silver Gucci column gown that was perfectly fitted to her slim frame. The gown was covered in so many crystals that T-Swift joked about it being a suit of armor.

Ciara made pregnancy look insanely glamorous in her custom Emilio Pucci gown. She collaborated with the designer on the sequined gold dress, which hugged her curves in all the right ways.

Miranda Lambert
Miranda Lambert has received a lot of negative press about her fluctuating weight in the past. We’re betting that her critics are biting their tongues after seeing the star in a red hot gown from Pamella Roland. The always gorgeous star stole the show.

Alicia Keys

The plunging neckline of this dress was a bit of a fashion risk—but it’s one that paid off. Alicia Keys looked stunning in this custom Armani Prive with a Swarovski crystal-studded belt.

The Worst

Paula Patton
Robin Thicke’s better half has made some questionable fashion choices lately. This zebra-striped number is no exception. As a general rule, it’s best to not have angry animals fighting on your cleavage.

Sarah Hyland
Poor Sarah Hyland is adorable on Modern Family, but this shapeless dress is doing her no favors. It has potential, but gives her no shape at all as is.

Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande’s Dolce & Gabana dress fit her impeccably. Unfortunately, the fabric looks like it belongs on a couch in a senior center, not on a gorgeous young starlet.

Jeans and a leather jacket don’t really cut it for one of the most glamorous events of the year. And seriously, what’s with the hat?
