Dr. Plaskon is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. Prior to medical school, Dr. Plaskon attended Purdue University in Lafayette, IN where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physics.

Dr. Plaskon completed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

Dr. Plaskon has called the Pacific Northwest his home since the 1990s. It was love at first sight – the mountains, ocean, beaches, and infinite options for enjoying nature. Dr. Plaskon is at his best when exploring nature, including finding the natural beauty in everyone. He enjoys helping people find their state of harmony and comfort in their natural selves. Dr. Plaskon believes he’s a facilitator enabling clients to find their inner beauty and feeling comfortable with their outer selves.

Dr. Plaskon is an avid volunteer for local youth organizations and public committees in his local government. He teaches Wilderness First Aid and Advanced Trauma Life Support to other physicians and community practitioners and is passionate about enabling medical preparedness and leadership. Dr. Plaskon invests his volunteerism in advocacy organizations for at-risk youth. His current projects center around middle and high school age boys and include teaching mountaineering skills, wildlife conservation, and annual alpine ascents, biking, and sailing.

His current hobbies include yoga, gardening, and reading. Dr. Plaskon is able to do a handstand for over a minute; his goal is 5 minutes and he plans to nail it before he turns 60. Dr. Plaskon enjoys modern ballet and sharing eclectic music. He is a Mustang aficionado and will gladly tell you a joyride story involving his ‘68 convertible.
