Michael Burgdorf, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Burgdorf is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He received his Medical Degree from Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans while concurrently earning his Master’s Degree in Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Prior to medical school, Dr. Burgdorf attended the University of Notre Dame, where he played football while maintaining academic excellence.
Dr. Burgdorf continued his education as a general surgery intern at Tulane University School of Public Health. He advanced his education with a residency in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. During this time, he achieved Administrative Chief Resident of Education during his general surgery residency and later became Chief Resident during his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency.
Dr. Burgdorf is a well-respected Plastic Surgeon that has numerous literary, academic and medical awards. He’s a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Tennessee Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Burgdorf’s medical philosophy is to empower his patients to look and feel their best in hopes that they will make a positive impact on the lives of those around them.
