Dr. Dion Chavis is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He completed his medical degree at University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine.

He completed his internship and residency in General surgery at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

He also completed his Plastic surgery residency at the University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine.

He did fellowship training in Microvascular surgery at the University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine.

Dr. Chavis is a well-respected surgeon due to his ability to connect with patients. He wants his patients to know that he understands the importance of being prepared. Dr. Chavis does his homework and does what is best for all patients. When he has a patient who is nervous, he always admits to them that he has a fear of flying. If the pilot is fine, he is fine. He wants all patients to consider him as the pilot, and everything is going to be fine.

A fun fact about Dr. Chavis is he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps in the music industry. He began playing the drums as a child and wanted to be Ringo Starr. He wasn’t allowed to take his drums to college, so he started playing the guitar. Now, Dr. Chavis has a collection of 37 guitars, a Hammond organ, a piano, drum set, and a at home recording studio.
