Update-3weeks post-op and prepping for my legs/thunder thighs😎. Abs are FLAT. Jeans are falling off me, lost 10 pounds(not kidding) but I’ll add that I started Lumen 3weeks prior to surgery. It is still tight feeling so I’m not going to do any crazy ab workouts or yoga but walking. BEST investment I’ve ever done for myself.
Ok- round 2-legs. Nearing 1 week post op and same great experience. Still walking around like a baby deer but it gets better everyday and I’m at max swelling right now. Definitely saw results right away before swelling set in but even at full swell - (seriously have no knees right now) my jeans I haven’t tried to wear in a year comfortably fit loosely today. Work would’ve been tough at 3 days even a desk job if you don’t want people knowing. I think legs hurt more due to having to walk, but it’s easier less painful in general getting up and down than abs. Don’t go into this thinking there will be no pain. Pain is managed effectively during and after the procedure but it is still a surgical procedure you need to heal from. But everyone is great- nurses to front desk and everywhere in between. I really appreciate the follow up call from Dr. V and the 5 day follow up from the nurse. Again feeling ZERO regrets.”

She was fun to work with and really listened to the type of results I wanted. She was very knowledgable about the different procedures available and explained exactly what I could expect. I never felt any kind of pressure to schedule my procedure. I was given a price quote for the procedures I wanted and encouraged to go home and think about it for as long as I needed. I decided fairly quickly that I wanted to schedule the surgery because I had already done quite a bit of research. Rachel kept in touch with me right up to the morning of my surgery and was always available to answer my questions. On the morning of surgery my nurse, Jasmine, was just incredible. She had a great sense of humor, made me feel safe and was very attentive to my needs. She made sure that I was warm enough throughout the procedure, kept me respectfully covered, and offered me sips of water when I needed it. She even asked me what kind of music I wanted to listen to during the procedure. Dr. Kim was my surgeon. Starting from the pre-op consult Dr. Kim was kind, knowledgable and attentive. He explained all of the pre-op and post-op instructions clearly and made sure that all of my questions were answered. He verified that we had scheduled all of the correct procedures in order to address all of my areas of concern so that I would be happy with the final results. Dr. Kim made sure that I was comfortable and pain-free throughout the procedure. He kept me informed of what he was doing during each step of the procedure and checked in with me frequently to make sure that I remained comfortable. Dr. Kim even called me at home the next morning to check on how I was doing. Overall it has been a very positive experience, and I can’t wait to see the final results once everything is healed. I highly recommend this clinic if this is something you are considering.”

Theresa, the OR nurse, is perfect for the job. Her bedside manner makes you feel comfortable as she prepares you for surgery. Dr Kim injects humor as he thoroughly explains the procedure and makes sure all questions are answered.
Derick, who works with you directly after surgery, treats you very respectfully preparing you to leave after surgery. At this point, you are grateful for someone like Derick because you can’t do much for yourself.
It was great to have two follow up calls, Dr Kim and Courtney. After speaking with Courtney, she sent me a text going over what we discussed.
I’m looking forward to my post op visits and seeing the changes in my before and after photos!”

I was very nervous at first, but they put me ease explaining the process to me and allowing me to meet with the physician just for a meet and greet to answer my questions.
I am 5 weeks post op my tummy tuck and lipo and the results are amazing. I could not be any more pleased. My family and friends are jealous that my baby pannis is now gone and now want to do theirs as well since they have seen my results.

They removed around 2.5lbs, and I felt minimal to no pain. I am 5’3” & weigh 148-151lbs on average. I eat relatively healthy & work out 4-6x weekly. I did TriSculpt for my upper / lower abdomen & my waist. I did *not pick this procedure to use as a weight loss method, I did this because I had stubborn fat that - no matter what I did - I could not get rid of. And while I am swollen & feel pain/soreness, I am extremely happy with how I look & feel in my first day post-op! 2.5lbs doesn’t sound like a lot, but it has made a BIG difference! While I have a lot of healing to do, I already feel more confident & happy in my skin - which was my goal. I will give a follow up review once I’m all healed up, thank you again to my Sono Bello team!”

Words cannot describe the ELATION I felt realizing I not only could wear a bikini but I didn’t need to buy a sarong to cover up a gross overhanging pouch of skin because it’s gone and my stomach is flat. I opened the dressing room door to show my boyfriend and he literally was speechless but trust me his facial expressions did ALL the talking😚. Then out came the words “you look smoking hot baby!” For the record he loved me just as I was before the surgeries, but he was very supportive of my having them and just knows I feel better and more confident, and my clothes fit better.

When I called they kept telling me it sometimes takes a year or longer to see the results. I now have a huge fat pocket in the middle of my stomach. Please avoid them
They only care about the initial sale. I have called Danielle several times. They hang up on me. The turn over at this place is scary. I paid $12,000 for trisculpt. It does not look right. I went back and they give me Dr kim and he says what did you expect the stomach is hard. DO NOT DO THIS!

“I strongly advise against considering Sono Bello Edina for any cosmetic procedures. I underwent chin liposuction at this facility early last year, and my experience was unsatisfactory from the outset.
During the initial consultation with a sales representative, I was required to pay the full $5000 upfront to secure a pre-operative appointment with Dr. Volk. This raised some concerns for me, but the staff assured me of positive results and I was hopeful that I would be able to feel confident about my chin. The pre-op encounter with Dr. Volk was very brief, and I felt pressured to proceed without adequate information because I was told I would not be able to get my money back since I’d been cleared for surgery.
Throughout the procedure, the staff spent the entire time talking about one of their colleagues who was having surgery after me because of a cancellation. They neglected to communicate the progress of the surgery, leaving me unsettled.
Post-operatively, the verbal and written instructions provided were inconsistent, with the written instructions all being for liposuction on other body parts which caused confusion.
At subsequent follow-up appointments, my dissatisfaction with the results was dismissed until my six-month appointment, where they said I could meet with Dr. Volk again. It took a lot of persistence to actually get that appointment scheduled. When it finally happened, he was running an hour and a half late and spent 10 seconds examining me to tell me it had been mostly skin, not fat under my chin so I couldn’t have expected any better results. I’m very frustrated that I was initially told I was a good candidate and would be so happy with my results, when clearly that was not the case.
Despite promises of additional Venus treatments to try to address my concerns, communication has been lacking, and attempts to schedule these treatments have been futile. Nearly a year later, having spent $5000, I see no discernible difference. I strongly discourage considering this establishment, as they appear indifferent to customer satisfaction once payment is received.”

“I’m still very disappointed my $800 has not been refunded despite withdrawing from doing my procedure. I went in for a consultation last year and scheduled to undergo a procedure few months later. So I made an $800 upfront payment but, along the line I called to say I was no longer interested in continuing with my procedure but I was shocked when the nurse who attended to me said, unfortunately the money I paid upfront was non-refundable. Like, how come no one told me this at the start when I was paying the money upfront. That just sounded like a scam. I’m still waiting for my refund.”

“I had my procedure done at the end of April 2023, I had liposuction and an incision from hip to hip to cut off skin, I still needed two other liposuctions in the waist area and bra line area. For a whole month I was bleeding like crazy, had to keep going in to get drained, bleeding also through my belly button, after that I Went to the U/Minn ER. They referred me to a different doctor who I saw within two days and was in the hospital for a hematoma, he had to reopen the whole incision, get rid of that and then back to drains in me for three weeks, I felt great after that. I called Sono Bello to tell them, what happened to me, even my new doctor said I was butchered. I told them Dr. Schneider will never touch me again and I wanted my money back for the procedures I haven’t had done yet. They told me NO refund, I complained a couple of times, and someone higher up called me and said I would get my refund. I have four years to decide about suing them, I think I should of gotten a full refund for what I went through. Sono Bello wants your business and they talk a good game when they want your business, actually they’re very deceiving. Think twice about this place. I can’t be the only one who’s gone through this.”

On 2/2/2022 I pre-paid for a surgery scheduled in for May 5, 2022. I had an unforeseeable family emergency in Arizona and called to cancel my appt in April. I started requesting my refund in Nov 2022. It has been almost a year and a half now that Sono Bello has NOT refunded the $9,547.03 that I paid.
On 4/6/23 I flew back to MN and went to Sono Bello and spoke to Ali and was promised she would handle it asap.
On 5/15 I spoke to manager Peggy, who said she would pull my file and look in to it.
On 5/26 Charlotte said she would have a manager contact me.
Later that day I spoke to Rachel and she asked me to have my doctor write a note stating I was not eligible for surgery, when I refused to have my doctor falsify a letter she said she would email the area director Tera Davison.
Tera called me later that day. Tera had not heard of me or any refund I was owed but said she would get a complete refund (including my non-refundable deposit) if I would delete any bad reviews, but due to the Memorial holiday allow 7-10 days for the check.
Today is now June 16th 2023 and still NO REFUND CHECK!
Our next step is to hire an attorney! This is ridiculous. I paid the ENTIRE balance in advance of the surgery thinking this was a reputable company.”

“I feel like once you sign the dotted line and pay them, the customer service takes a serious nose dive. I also felt they sincerely misled me about the procedure. The consultant talked about how she had a family event a few days after the procedure and how she was totally fine. They also told me I wouldn’t have an issue wearing my jeans after the procedure. While I wasn’t in a lot of pain for too long, they don’t tell you how extremely uncomfortable you will be once the swelling begins and it lasts for a couple of weeks. It’s nearly impossible to find a comfortable position to sleep in due to the extreme amount of swelling. They don’t tell you about that and there is no way my jeans would have fit me that first week. The doctor did call me the night of my procedure which I thought was nice but that’s about it. Also, I had my driver all lined up and I believe it was the day before, they told me my procedure time had to be moved up so had to scramble to find someone. There is no follow up to see how you’re doing post procedure. I stumbled upon a lymphatic massage therapist who told me about the lypo foam and massage gun I should have been using this whole time. It’s alarming that Sono Bello didn’t care enough to tell me about these things that could have helped my healing and I’m 90 days post procedure. Makes me feel like they really don’t care. Last but not least, I showed up for my 90 day apt early. There were about 6 people filling out paperwork (potential clients) who showed up after me and they all were called before my apt time. I didn’t even get called back for my apt until 30 minutes after my scheduled apt time and was asking to reschedule due to the delay. While I’m satisfied with the results, I would not recommend due to the lack of support, honesty, follow up & care.”

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the consultant I spoke with kinda set me up to have unrealistic expectations so I severely underestimated how uncomfortable I would be in regards to the swelling. It is extremely uncomfortable to sit and lay down for several days.
I stopped the pain meds after 2 days, mostly because the pain was as not significant, I was just extremely uncomfortable due to the swelling and probably didn’t get good sleep for about a week. I’m at 10 days post procedure and am feeling so much better. The swelling has significantly decreased and I can finally wear my jeans again. I’m excited for all the swelling to subside.”

Dr. Strand never discussed with me the option of an abdominoplasty, which he is now saying is what I needed to have done in the first place. He destroyed the appearance of my abdomen and when I tried to discuss this with him, he was condescending and insensitive, saying to me, "how many liposuction procedures have you done?" When I replied that I only had one, he repeated his question and clarified that he meant how many have I performed. Not only that, each time I saw him he made a point to make comments about my "big bazongas" and made me feel like he was judging the size of my breasts in a very inappropriate and unprofessional manner. I tried to talk with him and ask him if he could at least help fix the appearance of my stomach, which you can see by the photos, is completely botched. He was rude and left the exam room before I was even done asking questions. The unprofessionalism and the multiple comments about my breasts, when I was not addressing my breasts nor did I have any procedure on them was surreal. At my first appointment with him, he went on and on about how large my "bazongas" are and how I am not wearing the right bra size and that I should see a good friend of his who sells bras for a living. The follow up appointment which was today, he made a point to demean me and comment on my "big bazongas" again. Not only did he make disparaging and harassing comments about my breasts, he dismissed my feelings and overall unhappiness with the procedures and he left the room in the middle of my asking questions. I asked why he did not discuss with me that the better option for me was an abdominoplasty and he said, "did you read the consent?" I stated that nowhere in the consent did it discuss better options and as a physician, it is his duty to do that with me prior to the procedure. I also asked him why he did not explain to me that my abdomen could actually look worse afterwards and he said that he could not predict that but when I asked why he didn't even discuss the possibility, he simply stared at me and made a comment about how I was not listening to him. He demeaned me, he botched me, and he does not care that I am so unhappy. He refused to attempt to fix what he destroyed and I am horrified that this is the way a surgeon would behave this way and also not take responsibility for his mistakes in this matter. Furthermore, his comments about my breasts could be viewed as sexual harassment and I will be letting everyone I know about this experience. What a horrible way to treat a patient.

The staff at Sono Bello are very kind and attentive to the patients. They want to make sure they have all of the info.
During the surgery I remember some discomfort but I was basically asleep. I don’t remember getting home or getting into bed but I remember waking up.
Recovery is hard. Follow their directions before and after procedure. Wear the bodysuit they give you post surgery, take the arnica and take the pain pills. Rest. Drink lots of water.

“I had a Tri-sculpt Ex done in June of 2021. It was terribly painful. Which, I was willing to go through to get good results. Way more painful then explained by staff. Procedure is by far way more painful then ever expected or told..
And of course you can't stop in the middle.The nurse told me I did not need to come back for my 6 month appointment because things looked good. My stomach has been lop- sided ever since. So, I decided to make an appointment to see the surgeon who did my surgery. He noticed right away and said he would do a revision. The staff told me I had to wait until they got my chart. Funny thing was, they had it for my appointment. They told me to call back in June and that they were booked until August. I called the lady who takes care of this and nobody called me back yet. I mentioned that I thought that they should be willing to fix this sooner rather than later. Also, nobody sent home proper dressings to change over incision from hip to hip and my skin started to become necrotic, so I'm also left with an ungodly dark scar from this procedure. If you are planning to do this, make sure you are well informed and do your homework. The nurse i had was also rude to me and said, "It looks great, there's more fat for them to take. BS!!. Still awaiting a response for the revision.”
