I'm so grateful they did, because he recommended a different procedure (tummy tuck) that would require more cost and more downtime. I was excited to choose Sono Bello for surgery, but when I requested to meet the surgeon as a final part of my decision-making process (and agreed to pay $1k for the appointment), I was told that I'm not a fit for their practice. They require commitment in writing to the full procedure before you're able to meet the surgeon. This deviates from the two other practices I've researched, where meeting the surgeons is part of the vetting process. I just wanted to make sure the surgeon was a good fit for my needs before committing to the procedure, and I'm still surprised that was such an issue.
If meeting the surgeon is important to you before you commit to a procedure, you'll want to look elsewhere (frankly, almost anywhere else). If that's not a red flag for you, then I'm sure Sono Bello is a fine place.”

“I went in for a liposuction, and they upsold me on a tummy tuck as well. I told them about my medical history, they didn't see any problems with that. The day of the operation, they gave me massive dose of Novocaine, which at my age (60s) produced a dangerously low heartbeat, and I almost died right there on the table. They had to stop the procedure, and now I look the same as before, but with pain lingering from the procedure (1 year ago). They refunded me all but $6000 and offered me 8 sessions with a cellulite reducing machine. I took them up on that offer and completed 7 sessions, but the technician left. They promised to call me when another technician was available, and offered another 8 sessions for my time, but I'm still waiting for that. For me it wasn't a good experience. I don't recommend for anybody. Too much Novocaine can stop the heart, and with me they used a lot. Additionally, the doctor made a stereotypical comment about my Mediterranean personality, which i didn't appreciate.”

“I recommend it for liposuction. I only had a small procedure done on my abd as I was already athletic build. I worked out for years and no matter what I did, I couldn't get pass the threshold of a defined 6 pack. SO one day I said the heck with it and tried this clinic.
The procedure - as expected, the procedure area on your body is going to be sore and you are awake during the procedure. Make sure you have someone help you at home as your recover for the first few days or so.
Results: The results won't be immediate as the swelling takes a few weeks to subside. But when it did, the results were better than I had expected. I forgot the Doctor's name but thank you. Job well done. I had the best summer that year.”

***Edited to include my experiences with my follow up appointments*** I saw Nurse Anh for my one week follow up, and then again today for my 3 month follow up. She is just as amazing as the rest of the staff. She answered all of my questions, and was extremely positive and kind as to where I am in the recovery process. What my body looks like at this point. Her comments keep me motivated to do the necessary work on my end, so that when I come back for my 6 month check up, I'll be rockin' it, and feeling great in my own skin once again.”

For my procedure I had Dr. Sobrino which was also great for me. He told really horrible dad jokes during the procedure to keep my mind busy while also working quickly and checking my comfort throughout the procedure.
Dr. Sobrino isn’t quite as comforting as nurse Anh but it makes them a really great team. He is more straight to the point and straight to work (which is totally fine by me! But I could see how some people might need more comfort in their bedside manner) this is where nurse Anh really shines! UPDATE it was a year in March since my procedure and I just wanted to say that I am still thrilled with my results. Having all that excess fat removed gave me the impetus to get on a diet and exercise regime that I could stay with and I continue to make progress towards my ultimate health and weight goals. I just couldn't do it before, looking at my belly and thinking at 2 lbs a week I would NEVER achieve my goals and would STILL be left with all that hanging skin. Having this procedure was the single best thing I ever did for myself. It did not make me perfect but it did give me a head start and motivation. I think I came with a very realistic attitude and was told that my arms would likely still have some sagging due to size and age but they turned out better than expected and have firmed considerably with exercise. I did follow their instructions precisely and have virtually undetectable scarring that is completely hidden in even bikini underwear. I CANNOT say enough how accommodating and caring the staff were as I was from about 400 miles away and had to come in to town many times as I had 2 surgical days encompassing several areas.

Leading up to this experience I never thought I would tell anyone (except those closest to me) that I had anything done, but now that I’ve had my surgery I cannot stop telling people about it and how happy I am! I was excited for my preop to FINALLY address an issue that has bothered me from a very young age and that I have been struggling to deal with on my own. I tried to have no expectations, I just knew that this decision was going to be better for me and my goals. Becca was my nurse at preop and was very sweet and supportive, she definitely kept me hyped up and made sure I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. After speaking with Dr. Sobrino and talking about what could be done and the areas that bothered me most, I left the pre-op even more excited and couldn’t wait for my surgery. Day of surgery, I was a little nervous, but focused on how much I wanted the results, how excited I was when I left before and everything I remembered being told at the preop. My nurse for surgery was Megan and she was an absolute sweet heart. She kept me supported, happy, and laughing throughout the entire process. Dr. Sobrino was a joy to work with, during surgery he also made sure that I was happy and comfortable and definitely showed he has a lot of care for his patients. It is very clear that he puts a lot into his profession and his skills are absolutely amazing. He kept me informed the whole time and it was a fascinating, unique, and surprisingly fun experience being in surgery. I really enjoyed it. Now being post surgery and healing, I know I am still swollen, but I can already see the AMAZING results that this team helped me to achieve. I cannot believe it. I get comments almost every day about how wonderful it looks and the first time I truly got a good look at these areas, I instantly knew the difference and nearly teared up. My confidence has skyrocketed and I’m actually loving my body now, I’m finding it a lot easier to love and care for my body. This was exactly what I personally needed to help me with by own body issues and I really wish others could experience the feelings that I have been following this process. Its truly wonderful and hard to describe. I’ve always tried to be body positive, but now it’s like a huge emotional weight has been lifted off of me. I am so relieved and incredibly happy. I still have some healing to do, but I am soooo excited to see the final results and I am so incredibly grateful to Sono Bello for providing me with this opportunity and their continued care. “I had my surgery on August 31, 2021 .
First of all, you will be awake for this procedure. There was someone screaming the whole time I was waiting to have this surgery. I was advised that no one had touched this patient as yet. For the amount of money you would spend having this procedure you could be put to sleep and have a tummy tuck. (That is what I should've done.)
I was in pain during my surgery. The only part I did not feel was the skin removal and sewing. I felt the suction and my back hurt terribly from having to hold certain positions for a long time. They say this is to help keep everything even. I think it's so they can maximize profit.
I have only saw my doctor once to date and that was the day of the surgery, right before the surgery. I went to 3 follow up appointments. The appointments were rescheduled due to staffing issues and my last one was canceled, the 6 month follow up, and no one had called to reschedule it today.
Lymphatic massages are 100% necessary when having this procedure or you will be lumpy. I followed all of the protocols. Bought the Pro T, took the tablets they provided and drank the protein drinks to help my healing. The tape that was supposed to be provided was not.
Trying to get a resolution or your money's worth from this company has been exaserbating to say the least. I am a real patient. I am really dissatisfied. I would not recommend this location of Sonobello to my worst enemy.”

Kari was my nurse and she was amazing at keeping me comfortable through the procedure. Dr. Plaskon performed my surgery and he was incredible too! He talked me through what he was doing and why and kept me informed for the duration of the process as well. He also called me the next morning to check in and answer any post op questions. I have to say, the playlist playing during the procedure was great and it helped me a lot too. I sang pretty much the whole time. I even fell asleep a moment or two. The same night, I received a phone call from Dr. Sobrino to check on me. Thank you to my amazing nurse, Morgan and to Dr. Sobrino who did a phenomenal job!”

“I have had 2 procedures done here. I found them to be honest about expectations, caring, funny, and professional. Dr. sobrino is amazing, and nurse Becca makes you feel, not only medically taken care of, but that you also have a friend by your side during the procedure. Dr. Dao also makes you feel this way. It has only been a few weeks, and I am still recovering and working towards the results, but if you want to go to a place where they genuinely care about both the outcome and you as a person, this is the place to go.”

“I would love to give my review a 5 stars but a couple things felt funky to me. Before I go into that, I must say my experience with nurse Becca was amazing! I would say she was the best part of the whole experience and really took her time to connect with me, not just treat me like another patient coming through. At my pre-opp I felt slightly rushed and the nurse who was helping seemed stress and our time felt rushed. It also felt every time I saw the doctor, things were rushed. When you come in for your pre opp and procedure appointment, you want to feel like your the only one that matters at that appointment. I get there’s a lot of people that come through the doors but the patient shouldn’t feel like that, in my opinion. I was also taken aback that about 50% of my procedure was done with a doctor I had never met before other than in my procedure appointment, when the doctor draws on you before you go in to the OR. This doctor hadn’t come to my pre opp and only saw me for the first time at my procedure date. Felt like he was “in training” and even though my doctor was supervising and would step in the other 50% of the time, I would have like to been given the option to say I don’t want him performing any of my procedure due to it feeling like a training session. I understand people need to learn, watch etc. but when he was working on me, I had more “owe, that hurt” comments then when my doctor was working on me. Couldn’t say anything at the time, nor did I feel I was allowed too but that did bother me. I hope that the work done was to the best it could have been coming from two different doctors. Only time will tell. Again, LOVED nurse Becca and if I were to return for any future work, she would be the reason why. I also will say that receiving a phone call from my doctor at 10:30pm (even though I was asleep and didn’t answer) was really refreshing and kind he took the time at that hour to reach out.”

“From my initial appointment to my surgery I felt like family. Everyone is so excited to see you. It's not forced or fake. They’re genuinely excited to see you. Surgery was comfortable and the conversation helped me get through the fears and anxiety. I was awake the whole time and listening to my favorite songs. 1 day out from surgery and have already received two calls from my surgery team checking in on me. That’s comforting. Choose Sono Bello because you will feel right at home vs the other guys. No one likes feeling like a patient in a cold center with a tired greeting and being rushed in and out. At Sono Bello I was given plenty of time to ask questions, get familiar with staff and learn more about the specific procedure I was considering.”

“I’ve been looking forward to getting my ‘sexy’ back after 3 C sections with the 3rd being in my 40’s.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and during the procedure made me feel very relaxed with their sense of humor and music playing and keeping it very professional.
I asked nurse Becca if she would be my bff, it could have been a little of the drugs talking but she seriously was awesome!
Dr. Sobrino did excellent work! Very friendly and you could just feel that he really wanted to do the best job for you!
I am grateful I was able to help myself feel better in this way. It’s only two days after the procedure and I was brought to tears seeing the transformation.
A huge thank you to the team! I would highly recommend doing this for yourself if you’ve been thinking about it. It is so worth it! ”

“Well I had my Trisculpt and lower tummy removal Aug 12th 2021, The surgery went amazingly! The entire staff was so knowledgeable and caring. They made me feel super comfortable ( I'm terrified of needles) and they made my experience off the charts! Dr. Sabrano is sooo amazing he and his assistant was there with me holding my hand ever step of the way.. I really wish I could upload before and after pictures because I'm super happy and I look absolutely AMAZING , I couldn't have imagined the results I see looking in the mirror. Just talking about this makes me emotional only because Dr Sabrano and staff are the sweetest and most empathetic people I've ever encountered. I highly recommend Sono bello to everyone!
