Dr. Virginia Pittman-Waller grew up in Houston, Texas. She was inspired to become a physician by her grandfather, Dr. James E. Pittman, a general surgeon who was famous for being a member of the first surgical team that successfully operated on a patient for lung cancer.
Dr. Pittman-Waller received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College and her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Yale University School of Medicine and graduated with distinction.
Before obtaining her Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio, Dr. Pittman-Waller spent five years working at the CBS News Broadcasting Headquarters in New York City. She worked as the producer/writer for a daily medical news program, “Healthtalk,” and for a daily news analysis and commentary with CBS Evening News Anchor, Dan Rather.
Now with her current focus on aesthetic medicine, Dr. Pittman-Waller enjoys working with her patients to help them achieve their aesthetic goals. She says, “Liposuction is a great way to contour the body and to help you obtain the shape you want.”
When she isn’t working with her patients, you’d likely find Dr. Pittman-Waller spending quality time with her family or out hiking with her terrier in the Texas Hill Country. You might also find her working with MVP’s Welcome Home Wounded Warrior Initiative, USA, founded in 2006 by her mother. Their mission is serving the wounded warriors and their families from the hospital bed forward to defy depression and to help them reconnect their productive lives back into the tapestry of American society.
