Told me my pre op was Tuesday 4/30 at 930am . She gave a paper to be filled out that had nothing to do with me it was for a pain clinic and so because of all that mix up I called them Monday 4/29 I know 5 times that morning asking for Elisabeth so we could figure out the next step she failed to call me back so I called again in the afternoon and the receptionist again said she would give her the message and at this time it was 330/4pm and the addiction treatment center closes at 11am and my primary care closes at 5 so I asked to figure it out before the last doctor closed as the other one opened at 5am as I could get something done before 930am anyway she said she would call me right back she called me back at 630 pm on a Monday evening when everything is closed and proceeded to tell me that because of the situation with paper that they wouldn’t be able to proceed with the surgery then when I question going back to the treatment center again at 5am the next morning to tell them I needed them to fill out that paper then she proceeded to tell me that the doctor doesn’t want to work on patients on methadone even though at consultation I was told there was a specific doctor who worked on patients on methadone and when I questioned that it was the fact they don’t accept patients in addiction treatment programs when on there website where it list the conditions for a NON candidate it didn’t mention anything about anyone in addiction/addiction treatment. I have already contacted my lawyer as that is discrimination. I will also be contacted action 9 because I found out later that day they worry so much about methadone because they give you a hand full of pills (twilight anesthesia) and hope for the best also found out they are not board certified and the results are not as they tell you there going to be . They get women’s hopes up and then take them away like it meant nothing even the ones paying thousands in deposit when they can cancel for no reason . Very unsatisfactory go check the better business bureau website at all their complaints of women who’s bodies they messed up . Sonobello needs to be out of business and shut down as it is not a real plastic surgeon.”

I cried my story to this woman, she apologized for how I was treated and promised to look into it. The following week she told me that, she agreed that I was told the wrong information by the nurse and the Doctor, and just as I thought it was all a money grab, this company gladly took 15k of my hard-earned money and refused to honor the patient satisfaction agreement and tried to charge me more money on more than one occasion. I had to seek out other doctors with a price tag of 16k-28k of which I don't have thanks to Sonobello, to correct what was done to me and when I tried to follow up with Sonobello again no response, again nothing but crickets WOW is all I can say. “I have had the unfortunate experience of having a trisculpt procedure done back in October 2023. After the first week I noticed that my right oblique was not done. I informed my nurse who told me to give it time. When I returned for my post-op appointment I showed the nurse that the area was still visible and she agreed. I was told at my six month post-op yesterday that it was an indentation that was a part of my body. When I disagreed, the nurse Stephanie rudely told me that I was mad because she didn't tell me what I wanted to hear. I asked for a manager and the manager Mattie refused to see me. I emailed Sono Bello and they sent a response saying they would get back to me. I also asked for my records two days ago and was told they would email me a release. I never received the email. When I called today to ask where the release form was, the staff person rudely told me that the person I spoke to two days ago was incorrect about sending me an email form
When I questioned why I keep getting told multiple things, she immediately put me on hold without notice. I will be contacting all of social media and news outlets. If there are others who experienced this horrible tragedy with Sono Bello, please reach out to me.”

“Horrible had my surgery came back for my one week visit today which was scheduled for 9am I drove almost two hours from high point and got here around 9:13am they give a fifteen minute window so I was on time however I had to park far in the back cus no parking was available in front where the nurses park and it should be for us. So it took me a good five minutes to get upstairs to the office then they want to tell me they have to reschedule me for 10:30am like NO!! I was here on time I just had surgery it takes a few minutes to get to the office in the building. Then I hear the nurse say that they order my second garment to the house but I was told I was receiving it on this visit today so now I have to wait a week longer and deal with this garment that's been stabbing me and leaving me cuts and bruises. This is definitely not okay to lie to everyone about it another women here for same as me was told the same and she was very upset as well cus she was told that too. I'm in so much pain just waiting here to be called. I will not be coming back for anymore visits!!! They will have to do it over the phone. This is ridiculous!! 🤬 No stars had to give one in order to post.”

BTW, why are they advertising as a plastic surgery clinic when they have General Surgeons not licensed as Plastic Surgeons 🤔. Do your research people, don't fall victim to the professional scam artists.

If you are wanting a professional job done by a certified plastic surgeon- Sonobello is not the place.
I spent $13,500 on lipo and abex and at almost 6 months post op- I am very disappointed because my stomach and belly button look completely botched.
The only fix they seem to have for it is to spend MORE money on their Venus Legacy treatments which are $250 each and I was told I'd need a minimum of 12.
My entire experience has been subpar at most, do your mental health and self esteem a favor and go elsewhere - this place has ruined mine.”

“What a horrible experience. I went in for a consult and was high pressured into purchasing a package. Elizabeth was the sales person, and she sold me unrealistic expectations. My doctor was switched 3 weeks before my surgery- the new doctor’s team was super unprofessional talking about me in the surgery room while I was there and coherent. They strung me along for several months telling me that my results would improve- when after 6 months they did not- there was no standing by their surgery guarantee, instead they told me there was nothing they could do. I feel deformed and beyond frustrated that there has been no response to my any emails and phone calls. Buyer beware. There are lots of good plastic surgery options- Dr. Pratt is very good, as well as Dr. Graber. You may think you are saving money and the recovery is better- but the results, professionalism and client care are not worth the stress you will get if they aren’t able to deliver on what they sold you.”

“I waited over 6 months to write this review in hopes things would have changed. Unfortunately, they did not. This place has been absolutely horrible in how they handled my wife's post operative care. After raising 2 children and having a miscarriage, my wife wanted to finally do something for herself. We had the means to afford the procedure, and at the time, felt that Sono Bello was the least invasive. Matthew Alter performed the procedure. We had no idea at the time, that he was a general surgeon and not specialized in plastics. That was our mistake of not doing our research. The healing process was a nightmare for her. She, of course, now has flat stomach, but the results have left my wife feeling insecure, frightened, and depressed. This man and Sono Bello stole my wife's spirit and confidence. Still after 6 months, she has numbness and tightness in her lower abdomen. She at times has bouts of shooting pain. She has suffered from hyperpigmentation that look horrible stretch marks (when she NEVER had stretch marks before, even after pregnancies). The surgical scar is not even. It is jagged and can not be hidden under her some of her pants and swim suit bottoms. Her belly button is completely deformed and set too high. And there are still "love handles" even after we paid extra for that area. I would show picture, but am afraid google will flag this post. She had raised her concerns, and inquired about seeing the surgeon, but was always told no, and could only see the nurses. The nurses were very kind and did the best they could at offering reassurance, but offered no solutions to ease my wife's concerns. When she went for her final post op appointment, she was only told that she may need to have a revision, but it would be up to the surgeon's discretion, and it could take several months for her to get an appointment. This has devastated my wife, and I will forever resent Matthew Alter and Sono Bello for what they did. The need to make this right even if it is with another practice. If a resolution can happen, I will gladly change this review.”

I am 9 months post op and I currently have my 3rd infection and they do not seem to care. The results of my Ab Ex are nightmarish but that is secondary to whatever is causing the infections about every 3-4 months. I have went to every post op appointment and done everything they told me to do but when it comes to the infections, they offer no help, no suggestions. NOTHING! These infections are a result of their surgery but they offer nothing The only thing they tell me is to take the antibiotics my PCP prescribed. They have not even wanted to see me when infected!!!!! You would think they would try to at least figure out why in the infections are happening but NO, nothing!”

“I waited 3 months to give my review and I’m not happy with my results. Although everyone heals differently my stomach is still swollen. The Dr said, I need to wait after 6 months to see total results, that’s less than a month away and still really swollen and nowhere near flat. When I went to my 3 month post op, I was told I should’ve had the AbEx done because once the swelling has gone down I will have excess skin. During the consultation, she said I didn’t need the AbEx because I’m small framed. So, now they want me to pay an extra $4k for an AbEx I could’ve done initially.
Don’t expect them to advise on getting a lymphatic massage because they have the Venus procedure that cost $650 per treatment, you just get one treatment included in your package smh.
Also, my package came with 2 garments, I only received one. I told the receptionist the first week I may need a new garment soon but no one ever ordered one until last week (after 3 months) when I inquired about it. To top it off, the package is lost because they failed to put the correct address. I am overall dissatisfied with not only customer service but with my results.
Lastly, they push you to write a review after your consultation but many of us can care less how the consultation went, we need to read more reviews on the results.”

“If I could give Elisabeth Yousef (my Consultant), and Dr. Marcoe (my surgeon) 10 stars I would. I know, I know… this review sounds a little overzealous but read on. I promise you that if you are considering any procedure with Sono Bello in Charlotte, NC, these two people are who you want to take care of you. Sure, you can probably muster through a consultation with anyone, and you will probably get “great results” with any surgeon, but you absolutely will not get the “one in a million” service offered by these two… there aint no way.
I could write a long-drawn-out review that you probably won’t read anyway so I’ll spare you a ton of really exceptional details about both of these people and just say, my experience was phenomenal with Elisabeth Yousef, Dr. Marcoe, and his nurse, Tracey. I’ll be clear in saying that I didn’t love some of the front desk staff’s customer service skills (so don’t base your experience solely on that) but the staff in the “back of the house” was outstanding.
Elisabeth Yousef treated me like a long-lost best friend who answered all my questions thoroughly, explained all my options (without being pushy in any way), and made me feel like it truly mattered to her that I was there talking to her. Even after my procedure, she called me in response to an email I sent about something over the weekend, when she was off. She has gone above and beyond to find me a garment that is comfortable for my body shape, and she continues to exceed my expectations to answer any questions, communicate with Dr. Marcoe on my behalf, and get me anything I need to make my experience with Sono Bello better. She’s a 10 for sure!
Dr. Marcoe is also a treasure trove of information, bedside manner, and personality. Yeah, he’s super smart (he’s a Surgeon after all) and really experienced, but he’s also hilarious, enjoyable, and caring. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable with the whole process… even on the morning of my surgery when I was so anxious that he had to give me more meds to calm me down. Even after he got started (45 minutes late because of me), and I was awake the entire time (in zero pain, because the meds legit work…seriously); he talked to me through the entire procedure while he worked about anything I wanted to talk about. Bonus points, his operating room playlist is super cool as well. Another perk of Dr. Marcoe is that he prescribes Gabapentin for his liposuction patients to help calm the nerves during the healing process (not all Surgeons do this). I’ve had two separate procedures with him (a lot of lipo) and I’m telling you, this med 1000% works and should be given to all liposuction patients.
So, if you made it this far… These two are basically the Heavy Weight Champion of Sono Bello. If I were you, I’d make the trip to Charlotte, NC if you can and just work with them… if I’m honest.”

“My procedure was scheduled for the latter part of January 2023 at Sono bello Charlotte NC. I read reviews that mostly happened at the northern states Sono bellos and they were not good. The reviews had me second guessing and I contacted my person from Sono bello, Christy A. She was very understanding and encouraging so I went for the consultation with my assigned surgeon Dr Hill. He was straight up honest with me about what I could expect. I left there, still a little apprehensive but feeling better about it. Ultimately I decided to go ahead with my procedure. Upper abdomen, lower abdomen and waist. I won’t lie, it was painful for a few days but nothing unbearable. Each day it got easier and better. I wore the compression garment exactly like they told me to. I’m writing this review to let anyone know who is thinking of doing this, it’s worth it. My result is exactly how dr Hill said it would be. My stomach isn’t flat but I knew it wouldn’t be but it is 100 times better than the lopped over belly I had. I can wear jeans that actually fit my waist, backside and legs. It has changed my life. I feel better about myself and better about how I look and feel in my clothes. Listen to your consultant and your surgeon. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner.”

“I received absolutely phenomenal care from the Charlotte office! I was so surprised at how friendly everyone was. Mind you, my appointment was at 6 am! The receptionist was pleasant and I waited about 2 minutes before my nurse Taylor came out to get me. We talked as if we’d known each other for years. She took excellent care of me before, during and after the procedure. She was very attentive and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Taylor explained everything that she was going to do and even took the time to tell me what each pill I was taking was for. She placed my IV in while we were talking and did a great job! Dr’ Marcoe, I’ll call him Dr. Bubbly came in to explain what would happen next. He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable about the procedure. These are the nicest people I’ve yet to meet in the medical profession. Dr. Marcoe explained everything he was doing and what I would feel. He talked to me during the procedure and was very reassuring. Taylor made sure I was comfortable, even while dressing me after the procedure. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. “I called the office on Thursday to speak to someone, and the young girl of color said everyone was with Patients, she said someone would call me. The girls answering their phones was rude and very unprofessional.
No one called on Friday. I called the office and the same nasty receptionist said I could hold for a nurse. The RN nurse sounded to be busy and didn’t care to address my concern. I told her about the foul smell and the RN told me that I was ok, it was normal (?)!
I ended up in the Emergency room with a bad infection on Saturday and returned again to the Emergency room on Sunday. Now I’m left with 2 ER bills and more medication. I was diagnosed with a Saroma by a general surgeon at the ER who did a cat scan on my Stomach. After being diagnosed, the nurse at Sono Bello insisted that it’s not a Sacoma. Now at 2 weeks post op I’m still draining.
I called this morning to let them know what was going on. Again I was told no one was available and that same unprofessional receptionist was bothered by me calling again.
I called a few more times, no answer as my called was bring ignored. The nurse then answer hi Connie.
I told her what was was going on. Again no call back. I was told the office manager was in a meeting and still no call back.
So I travel 5 hours (gas & time) to attempt to reach this office, this is very unprofessional but these are the people I trusted with my care. The practice manager was very condescending and she just continued to laugh or smirk.. she didn’t have much to say other than sorry Connie. I was so surprised she would be running a million dollar office. She didn’t have a care or no words for much of anything . it was very weird discussing my concerns with her.
I think the receptionist are trained to say the Office Manager is in a meeting and the nurses are with patients.
After paying cash for this procedure is very disappointing that no one cared to address any of my concerns. I would love to see these phone logs they speak of.
They simply brush you off and move on to the next dollar. Be advised. There are no systems or protocol in place for patients concerns after surgery. There’s no customer service and no go to persons in place. Let me be clear. You are on your own! The commercials are nothing like the experience!
Apparently they only communication is email contact. They never return calls after post op!
I was already scared and to have to go through this in post op is just unacceptable. Read all the one star comments, there’s ladies aren’t lying!

“Had lipo with Dr. V October 2021. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I spent almost 8,000 and I’m still not happy. I complained to Dr. V and her nurse several times. Her nurse advised me to lose the 10 lbs I had gained, and if I still wasn’t satisfied that Dr V would do a revision. — lies! I lost the weight and the office stop responding to me. The turn over with office managers happens every three months (seems like). Someone by the name of Michelle was suppose to reach out.. never heard from her. My mom also got lipo..with Crawford. My mom had to have a revision and they still ended up giving her some money back because her results were that bad. When I went for my consult.. the lady doing the consult told me Crawford was horrible. That should have been a red flag for me.”

I set my appointment and had my pre-op appointment the same day I had my consultation. Then I met Dr. Marcoe and he is AMAZING! Day of surgery, days, weeks and months after surgery; not fine.
I told the nurses, frontline staff and Dr. Vega how dissatisfied I was with everything, no less than 3-4 times a month.
Let me break it down.
-Wide awake during procedure (awful experience)
-Doctor(s) were not professional with their conversation during procedure
-Immense pain after procedure, I was told to take a Tylenol and use the Aribica cream (didn’t work)
-An area in my stomach opened up (Dr. Vega said it looked like it would be a sensitive spot at pre-op). After 2 solid weeks of telling them it was getting worse (and showing photos), I was asked to return to the clinic for Dr. Vega to evaluate the hole in my stomach and the lop-sided mess of an abdomen.
She completed a debridement. She advised me to buy a solution, gauze, sanitized solution and tape from Amazon (I completed the order while I was in the chair, while she was still talking).
She said if the debridement didn’t work, she would recommend me to a wound clinic. I live almost 2 hours away. I asked if it could be a clinic in my state, she said yes.
Well, the wound was not healing. She told me to call them if it was still bleeding after 2 weeks. It was, I needed the wound clinic. But no one and I mean no one at the clinic had a clue about what to do for a referral. I was on a 3-way call with the nurse and the receptionist at USMC. A mess!
I was admitted to the ER several times after my procedures. I even spoke to nurses at Sono Bello during one ER visit (and so did my husband).
My primary physician saw me and sent me straight to the ER. I was given antibiotics and fluids. Oh yeah, the infection caused my symptoms.
I can keep going. The point has been made.
During my last visit there (and there were several), I voiced my dissatisfaction, about everything.
When told Dr. Vega her staff agreed with me, she said, “that’s insulting and I won’t stay in here and listen to this. I think I did a good job. I took out as much as I could. What you’re seeing is normal. Unless you have another procedure, that’s what you have”.
She’s insulted? What? I’m the one that paid to get my belly-button moved. I spoke to the “manager”, in tears, immediately following this visit. This lady doesn’t have a clue either. I was told I would receive calls. Never got them. And they lied about that too.
Yep, that’s what I got.
I will not be quiet, I will keep talking. I will do what ever I need to do to prevent this from happening to someone else.
I asked for my pictures no less than 8 times. Each time I was told they were in the mail. One year, I still don’t have them.
But what Sono Bello of Charlotte has, is an unethical, disrespectful, rude, uninformed, scam of an operation.
I have pictures, I have text messages. I’ve shared them all with Sono Hello’s reps.”

“Dr. Theit was my surgeon through Sonobello at the Charlotte, NC location in early 2022. I complained to the NC Medical Board about her. She prescribed 2 antibiotics to me and even cited I could be an increased infection risk due to having body acne. She then took 1 of those antibiotic prescriptions without replacing it with anything on surgery day. I healed poorly. I slowly developed an infection over the course of like a month. My right hip is deformed. She was also mean to me both at pre-op and during the awake surgery. The type of awake surgery she performed on me was laser lipo with a local anesthetic. So many issues with my experience it is difficult to list them all while keeping people's attention. At pre-op she cited my higher infection risk yet cleared me for the surgery then took a powerful take home antibiotic prescription the following day on surgery day without replacing it with anything. She wasn't particularly gracious. I'm 5'2". All I said to her is I wanted to get the procedure done to accentuate my petite stature and motivate myself to lose weight. She went at length to combat me that I am not petite. She had me to hold my wrist up to hers in comparison that hers is smaller and her a thin woman with a normal bmi while I am currently 200 lbs. She says I am not petite because of that, trying to claim my bone structure is thick or something. Um no. You can't really judge bone thickness by looking at an obese person's wrist. That is more of an indicator of weight when the BMI isn't normal. Now if 2 people have the same normal BMI & one has a thicker wrist & taller then yes you can say that person is bigger boned. The following day I figured she'd still do a good job even if I struck some sort of a nerve in her by calling myself petite. The surgery was traumatic, painful. I could feel being stabbed by the lipo cannula after she used up all the local numbing medication she could give then she tried to finish the surgery with me awake. I notified her but I did manage to grunt through it & lay still so that she could finish. I asked to see after she was finished. She and the nurses just ignored me & wrapped me up. My right hip didn't feel right from the get go. There was a strange sensation in it comparison to the normal shaped left hip. 7 months later, I am left with multiple curves in that right hip which should be shaped normally like a parentheses. It resembles a banana peel instead. You'd expect transparency in a situation like that. Dr. Theit didn't even inform me that we will need to stop since we can't give anymore local numbing medication & reassure me that a revision is in the future or try to explain anything. I paid her company $8,500 to get deformed. She should have been a better judge than this. There are definitely mor limits with awake surgery due to a local anesthetic being used. If she had used her experience to better judge how the local numbing medication had to be stretched considering the large area I paid for & atleast had left me with something symmetrical while being transparent about my situation, a revision with her would have been appropriate. Instead, there was no transparency from her. My spine feels crooked when I try to stand up straight due to the volume & shape difference between each hip pulling at my spine. I imagine this could cause long term damage to my spine if I don't get help soon. It may already be too late. I am still fighting Sonobello for a refund atleast so I can use it to go elsewhere and try to get this deformity fixed right under general anesthesia. Atleast I was smooth & anatomically correct with a normal functioning spine before. This banana shaped hip I've lived with for the past 7 months of my life is mortifying. All I can comfortably do basically is lay around because if I stand too long, the uneven tug of the 2 hips hurts my spine. I would not give Dr. Theit a good review or do anything except warn others not to use her for their surgery after all this. Sonobello could refund today but I am still looking at another year to fix this.

This is a response to Sonobello's comment. It is a false statement that Sonobello reached out to me with any resolve. I reached out to the complaints email that is advertised as being their corporate office when leaving this review. They have responded that my complaints will be tranferred over to management. I specifically had a complaint toward management for not responding to me. Prior to that, I tried to reschedule my appointment in part because my questions weren't being answered before making the 3 hour drive there. It was scheduled for the day before Thanksgiving and I called to reschedule but nobody would answer the phone. If the local offices do not answer, you get transferred over to their general answering service. The answering service couldn't even get through to this location on multiple occassions. This local office does have a text system which they clearly do not respond to. I have messaged it multiple times with no written response given. I do not think after my experience that I should be expected to simply trust this company. I wished to speak about the what ifs as I do not wish to have my time wasted driving out to Charlotte(again, a 3 hour drive for me). I wanted to be reassured a resolution would be met & inquire about if I can be refunded due to the hopefully very rare circumstances of my experience but there has been no responses. I have called. No response. The answering service has called & claimed they left notes for this local office to call me back. No returned calls. You are people at work. I know none of it is personal enough to you to keep up with each communication properly when there are many of you who could have responded to 1 patient but it is all personal when a patient has a bad experience. Please do not make false statements about our communications, whether it is simply being misinformed or not. There is a text system. That is convenient to use & you are guaranteed to not play phone tag if you just text or email. Yet you have chosen not to opt for written communications. Multiple messagesof mine are unresponded to. If text is too informal, email is fine. Just do not ignore me, leave 1 passive aggressive voicemail making fun of me for sending multiple messages to your "little text system", then falsely claim on your public reviews that you have been responding to me & the problem is I haven't answered the phone. Because I can post screenshots of them texts & show they are 1 sided. Or perhaps I just need to go public with my deformed body & show everyone what happened to me. You are advertising a 1 visit & done surgery experience here. Nobody should be getting botched & getting their whole life destroyed for 6 months before being offered another horriffic surgery experience & no refund in sight to help compensate for any of that trouble. Your doctors have responsibilities to leave people even so it is a choice to request that revision or not. I can not even stand straight without pulling to one side due to the unevenness. I've been showing this injury to lawyers trying to seek help before something permenant happens to my spine. You should not be doing awake surgeries on such vast areas on the body. Not only did my local become ineffective then no more could be given while finishing my initial surgery, deterring me from wanting another awake surgery experience, but awake surgeries are all that you offer in the event of a revision being needed. It isn't a choice at all to settle with what I have. My initial surgeon informed me that revisions in which the entire area has to be gone over are usually harder on the patient because the local numbing meds do not spread well in scar tissue! Sonobello has put me in a barbaric situation. The only solution you have is for me to lay there & try to be still as I am stabbed for atleast 10-15 minutes while my body is fixed?”

She talk to fast & don't listen to your concerns. I have txt this lady, emailed this lady,& she will not return your calls unless you're speaking money. She also gives you different Quotes. Overcharges you for very unsatisfied work. I will Never Recommend anybody to go to this location. THEY ARE also very good @ canceling followup appointments. Once they get your money they are finished with you. They don't check on you or anything. Very, Very, Unprofessional I really don't think they .do all the areas that they get paid to do because you really can't see a difference when they're done. Wasted money where you will have to try to go back to,get revision because of the poor performance. “At 7 weeks post op I’m very disappointed. I will be sharing pictures. I went to the Charlotte NC location. My procedure was $9,200, and without wearing my faja I look exactly the same. I did not get the max amount that the state allows up to removed which is ridiculous to me because for the amount of money being Charged you would hope that each surgeon would remove the max amount. I was under the impression at my initial consultation before paying my money that if I was not pleased with the work I would be given 1 free revision, I have now learned that’s not true, it’s only if the surgeon approves. My work was done by Dr Vega. My procedure day weight was 192. Today I’m 192. I wish I would have went with the traditional tummy tuck instead of choosing Sonobello. I over heard another patient asking about her one free Venus treatment and learned that is suppose to ne offered as well and I was never even told anything about it, I have yet to get a free Venus treatment they keep telling me that they are trying to find someone to do them for their office. I didn’t receive pictures of the fat/volume that was removed and when I asked after seeing other patients post theirs I was told I only had notes and no pictures. I pray I’m approved for a revision because if not I will be disputing the services if nothing has changed by my 6 month check up. I will update my review.”

“For some reason I’m not able to edit my previous review so I am making a new one. I want to provide an update on my experience.
I’d like to start off by saying at my 3 month appointment, the nurse agreed that I needed a revision on my sides. She went as far as saying “usually if I tell her (the doctor) that a patient needs revision she usually does it”. So I was confident that in my 6 month appointment, that I’d be able to get a revision since that’s how long you have to wait.
My upper stomach still has a lot of fat. There is also still a lot of fat on my sides. I expressed during the 6 month visit and all they did was bring in my pictures from my first appointment and compared it to my 6 month pictures. They tried to make it seem like the pictures showed a significant difference and that there was nothing further that could be done.
I didn’t even get my back fat done and asked if I can add that on and PAY for it and they still said no 🤔
To be clear I work out regularly, 3-4 times a week and I also meal prep. So it has nothing to do with what I am doing at home……
There should be no reason why a person pays $8000 dollars for a surgery to only still be having the same issues they were having prior to the surgery.
I only came here because I live in this area, I would of spent less going to Miami. I just didn’t want to have to travel or have to fly back and fourth for check ins.
I would just go somewhere else honestly.”

“About a year ago I filled out the online form for more info and to schedule the free consultation. I had to end up canceling my initial appointment due to my whole family getting covid and other issues. They have been constantly texting and sending emails for the past 6-9 months asking me to reschedule so I called to reschedule. The day of my appointment there was an accident on my way to Charlotte- I live an hour away- and I called the office to tell them that I was not going to make it on time and to see if they wanted me to reschedule or still try to show up. They advised me to reschedule so I did. The next date I had my consultation scheduled for I got confused with a different appointment and went to the wrong place. I do suffer from memory loss from being in the military so I do tend to get things mixed up sometimes. They kept emailing and texting for me to reschedule the appointment. I replied to the email to get it rescheduled and the lady was so rude and told me that I had over 3 no show/no call missed appointments and that they would no longer see me. There is no appointment policy listed anywhere on their website and when I asked the lady where I could find the information regarding this she completely ignored my request. She then said she would send a request to the Charlotte office and went through the process of asking me all of the questions again and then tells me at the end that she cannot schedule the appointment. There's no way she could have asked anyone at the Charlotte location if they could see me because the Charlotte location was not even open at the time. I don't understand why they still email or text me to reschedule when they have this supposed policy in place that she could not show me where I could find information on. They must not care about making money when they treat potential customers like this. I have had a much better experience with Elite Body Sculpting so far. I have tried to speak with management for Sono Bello but of course have heard nothing.”

“I'd give it a 0 if I could - Dr. Alter is the most condescending, rude, egotistical doctor I've ever come across. The rest of the facility and staff seem great but this doctor ruined the entire experience and if a doctor like him is allowed to work there I cannot recommend them. Everyone else was nice and professional but I've never left an appointment feeling more attacked and demeaned and disrespected. First he didn't introduce himself when he entered the room and became huffy and acted impatient upon reviewing my chart. He was snappy when asking questions and none of my responses seemed sufficient to him. That's definitely not going to put anyone at ease. Then he has the gall to say that I'm seeming very anxious and fidgety. Well of course I am. I'm tired after very little sleep because I was super excited about my pre-op, had a good bit of caffeine in my system so I was awake to make the almost 2 hour drive to see this doctor, I'm sitting there half naked in skippy underwear the office provided and hospital gown, and I'm feeling attacked because I have to take medications for sleep, anxiety, and ADHD. Yes, there's a good chance I might be a tad nervous and - god forbid - fidgety. So when I try to call him out for his antagonist - and rather abrasive - attitude towards me he yells "I'm ABRASIVE?!" Yes doc, I spoke clearly. Then you accuse me of calling him abrasive because he doesn't think I can tolerate the procedure. Not even close. I am thankful that a doctor tells me that they don't think I can tolerate an awake procedure. I appreciate that. I don't appreciate being made to feel like something is wrong with me and attacked. There's no reason to be a jerk. I have never been made to feel so low about myself in my adult life.
This man does not need to treat patients and for the sake of the practice, Sono Bello needs to get rid of him. Unfortunately I know nothing will come of it and his ego will continue to be stroked.
Go somewhere else or at least make sure that you do not have Dr. Alter.”

“Today I went in for my pre-op and meet with the doctor for the first time. The appointment started out horrible. It was not the doctor or nursing staff fault. I was told the incorrect information at my first appointment to the point now I would have to spend MORE money on top of full balance I already paid to get the SAME results I was already promised. And on top of that some of my paperwork was missing that I already signed was missing. Everything seemed so unorganized. And to be honest I started having second thoughts about the entire thing. A nurse came in my pre-op room (I wish I could remember her name) and took the time to sit down and talk really talk to me. She was so understanding and caring. She listened to all my concerns and talked me through my options and gave me her thoughts. She really helped me. She walked around the entire office to get me the answers I needed to make my decision. She even stayed well after it was time for her to leave to make sure I was taken care of. I’ve never felt so dissatisfied & disregarded in my life as a customer.
Initially, I was EXTREMELY excited to have work done at Sono Bello. I did my research. I watched as many YouTube videos as I possibly could. I knew this is what I wanted to do.
I booked a consultation, and looking back, this was the ONLY time I received any type of adequate attention. I’m not surprised considering this is step 1 of them getting you to financially commit.
Elizabeth conducted the consultation. She was kind and informative. She understood my eagerness to move forward with the process, so she was transparent with the information she provided. I was told the Charlotte office was booked out for several months; however, the Raleigh location had an opening at the end of the week I was there for my consult. I was told that all my post op care would be handled at the Charlotte location considering that is where I live. I moved forward with the surgery date.
My post op experience with the Charlotte office has been THE WORST EXPERIENCE. If you are satisfied with your results, you’re good to go. If you ARE NOT SATISFIED with the results, they will treat you like you no longer exist. At my 3 month appt, THE NURSE told me there was no need to schedule a 6 month follow up because I needed to speak with a surgeon. I was told there was not enough fat taken out from the first procedure. Based on SONO BELLO’s POLICY, if you aren’t satisfied with your results and you don’t weigh more than you did the day of your surgery, they will go back in and take out more fat. I was told I would see DR VEGA because she was the best Dr at this location. I was excited. 2 nights before my scheduled appointment, I receive text message from the front desk stating that they moved my appointment with a different surgeon (Dr Loflin) …. THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY CANCELED THE APPT & told me someone would contact me to reschedule. A week went by and I didn’t hear a word. I took it upon myself to call them on my own. They gave me the runaround. Plenty of excuses as to why they couldn’t schedule me. I spoke with the practice manager. She has absolutely no sense of customer service. Rude is an understatement. I had to contact the corporate office to get an appointment scheduled. When I was finally able to talk to the surgeon ( Dr Loflin ) she told me there was small work that could be fixed. I expressed to her I wanted to have AB Ex performed. She told me I would need to speak with Elizabeth before I could get anything scheduled and she would have her contact me that evening. Of course I didn’t hear anything. I’ve attached a screen shot of text messages between the front desk and myself the next day when I had to follow up … AGAIN. When I asked if I could get the surgery booked without speaking to Elizabeth, of course …. crickets. When people spend THOUSANDSSSSS OF DOLLARS, not to mention even willing to spend MORE money and they are treating so insignificantly, it is unacceptable.

“I came with my mother to some of her appointments and the front desk was awesome but when she talked to Elizabeth, then she seemed so rude! She today my mother in black teens that she would get rid of her IBS for sure instead of stating that every prison was different and she wasn’t 100% sure. My mother came for one surgery and the doctor was awesome then almost a year later the same doctor was not willing to perform the second part of her surgery because of risk factors! Then she was told that she would get her money back that she paid and be compensated on her time and such for at least another $500. But they seemed to have not kept their word on that part because she only received the money that she paid. She’s even called up there several times and seems to get the run around stating that either you’ll get a check in 10-14 days. Then when she calls again about not receiving the check, they say they will take a message and the person will contact them back within 24-48 hours. But the thing is they never call back nor contact my mother! The thing is never tell someone something and not keep your word to your client! That is so unprofessional in my opinion and isn’t good for anyone’s business! I just don’t appreciate my mother being lied to or even the rudeness that she has received from some of the staff!”

She gave me tips on dieting to help lower my muffin top. Let me begin with the day of surgery, I hate needles Nurse Nancy is the bomb dot com when it comes to putting in the IV. She was real friendly and courtesy. she explained what she was going to do. To help me relax she ask what music I prefer. I would definetely recommend Dr. Thiet. I have no complaints. “My procedure was yesterday. My drive was almost 3 hours. My arrival time was 6 am but they were running behind about 40 minutes which increased my nerves. However once I was called, my nurse Nancy was absolutely amazing. I was given antibiotics in my IV along with the cocktail. My surgeon Dr. Thiet was amazing. By the time the cocktail kicked in, I was feeling great. I felt a couple pinches while being numbed but nothing unbearable. It felt like a regular needle prick. I actually fell asleep during. When she got to my waist, she also did my back bra rolls, that was the only part that I felt. She stopped, numbed me again and gave me another pill by mouth. I remember her asking me to "suck it in" to ensure she got ALL the fat off my upper abs. I didn't feel a thing when she started Abex cause I was asleep again. I don't remember my nurse dressing me again. I slept the entire ride home. Pain has been around a 2 all day. I was able to change my pads cause I was leaking leaking. Overall it was a great experience and my stomach, sides and back are SNATCHED! So far I'm loving my results. No real swelling either. I don't know how I'll feel tomorrow but today was GREAT. I had U/L abs, waist, BBR and Abex. I can truly say Dr Thiet at the Charlotte location was amazing. I was equally impressed that she called me around 9 pm and said "you were in pain during the procedure so I called you in more pain meds".. let's see what the next few weeks bring but so far, I'm loving it!”

“I had Trisculpt EX done on my upper & lower abs and waist on 10/18/21. My results are no where close what I was led to believe. First of all at the consultation, I was told I was a great candidate. Had good skin elasticity and did not need a tummy tuck (as I was told by a different plastic surgeon). I was given a price for upper and lower abs that day and told if I paid it all within 2 weeks and didn't finance it, I would get a 1k discount. I paid over $10k up front. Went for my pre-op visit with the doctor to confirm that you are a viable candidate. After this appointment if you cancel your surgery you forfeit all your $. She told me that I has some visceral fat on the upper abdomen that she would not be able to suction but I would still have great results & flat mid & lower abs. I added the waist and paid for it that day. Surgery was painful at times but went okay (after being postponed at the last minute for a month). Follow ups: 1 week/1 month/3 months & 6 months. I started addressing my concerns of not seeing results/hard lumpy masses in stomach & sores in my EX scar at 2.5 months via numerous phone calls & texts (I have a record). Was told every conversation/visit that I was swollen and would see results by next visit. Told to continue wearing binder (smaller size finally given at 3 mo. visit). I have not saw noticeable results since the 1 week visit except in my waist. Final follow up was this Monday. Never saw the doctor after surgery only nurses. Expressed how unhappy I was and feel like I was very misled & spent over $13k for nothing. Still just as big if not bigger than when I went in with abnormal knots up & down my abdomen. Customer Satisfaction Commitment means nothing to them, they didn't offer to make it right just said they would have someone reach out to me. Have not heard anything since then. They are all about the $ and once they have it the customer is SOL. If you're thinking about liposuction, run as fast as you can, far away from Sono Bello.”

“My experience here has been horrible! They answered every question I had, until I paid my deposit...then crickets and no response to any other questions. I had to wait over an hour day of my surgery because another patient was late (extremely unprofessional and unacceptable)...and I was next to the room and could hear all the suction which totally stressed me out to the point I almost walked out that day! I had my inner thighs done and they are not even AT ALL and look worse than before:( I have stated that I am unhappy with the outcome at EVERY post-op apt I have been to and I can NOT get any management to acknowledge or respond to me...even though they "guarantee statistician" for one year, they LIE! I am extremely unpleased with the lack of attention to their customers and would highly recommend you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!”

“The office is super busy. Dr. Thiet did a wonderful explaining everything. The nurse however was very forgetful (Sherry I believe). She asked questions she should've been aware of. She's very nice, very kind. But I was on my Ps & Q's because she seemed unsure of things & the process while in the room both before & after the doctor exam & assessment. We were rushed & reminded of how busy the office & the doctor is but not in an unprofessional way if that makes sense. I write everything down because it went fast. The doctor quoted an additional procedure at one price but the finance lady gave another. She ended up giving the doctor's price quote in the end. The front desk staff is super nice. Clean & professional environment but a busy office. Not saying that's a bad thing, just giving my experience.”

“Everything went smooth from booking to procedure day. Satisfied with my results (meaning I don’t feel as though my money was wasted at all) so far. It’s week two I do notice a bit of unevenness on my sides, which I hope to have fixed if it’s not even by my 6 month check up. But, other than that Dr Vega did an amazing job and I’m glad I picked her. She was funny. She made me feel very comfortable and cared for. Most importantly she really targeted my front (Fupa) which so far seems to be completely flat! Elisabeth was a great communicator. The nurse who got me ready for surgery was a gem (I wish I could remember her name). The lady that did my 1 week check up was not as friendly as Elisabeth, my nurse and Dr Vega and was in a rush. I still haven’t received my second garment as promised so waiting on that, which is the reason for 4/5 stars. Charlotte office was close by and clean pre and post care instructions & medication was provided and effective. I’ll edit this review if I can after my 3 month appointment.”

“Update: SURGERY was on the 17th and the process was smooth. I was nervous but the staff made me feel very comfortable. Unfortunately my results are not what I wanted overall. I feel like I paid for a service for my back area that wasn’t achieved and I could remove more fat in the front. My waste line is nice. I see a difference but not 6k worth overall. I did express my concerns in my follow up (that I am not satisfied because they do offer to fix your concern) but I was not able to see the doctor just yet. I usually blog my process but I believe my 2nd session will be better to do so. I was given a 3month follow up and I’ll keep you guys posted on the next step. I do believe the center is amazing but I would recommend small areas and not hope for a dramatic change

“Buyers beware. Office is poorly run. Have to sit and wait 45 minutes each time in lobby for Appointments. They will fix issues from prior surgery for free within a year f you are not happy but stall you and you can't get in with a doctor to discuss for 3.5 months. Keep saying they are short staffed but continue to schedule new surgeries. Also beware they try to sell you more than you need. I suggest a different location to be treated better.”
