“Information that I received during my initial consultation with Verenia (V) was very different from information that I received from my initial consultation with Dr Shaner. My consultant gave me inaccurate and misleading information, but the doctor gave me information for the most realistic results, which I appreciated. So, in the end, I spent more money than I anticipated. I strongly feel that initial consults should be with the doctor to begin with, not a consultant! Therefore, if you're consultation is with V, be careful!! On the other hand, Dr Shaner was great!”

I had a lot of anxiety and a lot of excitement regarding my procedures, but my Dr Schaner and his nurses were so nice and their confidence was through the roof , which made me feel very comfortable before and during the procedure. Dr Schaner called to check on me the same day after both procedures to make sure I was ok and if I had any concerns or questions. He gave me his number to text or call if I needed anything. I text at 5am one morning and in about 5 minutes or less Dr. Schaner text back with an answer. “I wanted to wait until I had my procedure to write a review. So from day 1 with the consultant I never felt as if they were trying to just make sales. She never insinuated that I should have more done than I wanted which I was expecting. My main concern was my recovery because I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old that I needed to be able to care of. Every single person in the office assured me I would be fine to take care of my girls, and they were not lying. My recovery has been great and exactly what they told me it would be. My surgeon Dr. Schaner is amazing. We were singing and cracking jokes the whole time during my surgery. I was totally comfortable and he personally contacted me later the day of my surgery to make sure I was doing well. I can't wait for my swelling to go down so I can see my final results!”

I'll call to verify if this lady exists and for a consultation then update later.

I was told Verenia do exist but I didn't meet her. I understand now why the reviews are solely about everyone else but the physicians. Do your research & proceed with caution on this one. Talk to patients that look like you is all I'm saying. Ask about BEYOND the consultation, bedside manners, etc... Don't let the high-pitch, fast talking receptionists fool you🤨”

“Every one is nice , dr was nice .. HOWEVER my jawline was not contoured correctly. The dr did 3 /4 of my jaw . So it looks so unatural as it connects to my ears . There’s a lots of fat on my jaw line . I have already scheduled a REVISION with another doctor. It truly is disappointing because the procedure was 5,000 . And they say our lipo is guaranteed.. “My experience was phenomenal from my consultant Ms. V, Dr. Westfield and nursing staff amazing. I have anxiety and I was all in my head about feeling anything. Dr. Westfield gave me anxiety meds that did wonders for me. Once I was on the table Dr. Westfield talked to me when he moved from the numbing shots to the actually procedure that helped me so much. Now what I really appreciated was after surgery the next day Dr. Westfield called me personally to check on me, not his assistant him. He told me it was his personal cell and if I needed anything to let him know. I called the next day and he answered my questions happy. That is what I call first class service. If you follow all the rules or instructions that the consultant and doctor gave you trust me your procedure will be a success. I would recommend this procedure to family and friends. I was afraid that I might feel pain during my procedure but I tell you the truth I felt no pain at all. I will admit it was 2 times I felt like a sting told doc he numbed it I felt no more.”

After my 3 month appt, I had my 1st Venus treatment on my stomach area. The pressure and heat were tolerable (I wish I could of had my whole body treated or where can I get a machine for my home). The tech was so sweet and explained the Venus treatments. Maybe I should asked more about it or explained a little bit more when I did the appts for the treatments. The Venus treatment is for one section of your body. You buy extra treatments for the other areas you had surgery. You get the surgery and only one area is being treated. “I had 3 areas done, lipo only: chin, waist and hips. Everyone from day one has been great. Dr Kunasz did my surgery and he was absolutely great. He was focused on my comfortable level thru the whole procedure. I had absolutely no pain. The only pain I felt was the IV prior to surgery. No other pain after tht during the procedure. I am one week post op and still swollen but can already notice a difference. I would do it again and I would highly recommend sono to others”

Customer service is very important to me and I appreciate the friendly attitudes and efficient assistance. The only recommendation I would make is heated blankets as it was a little cool in there due to the medication but that is to be expected. The surgery didn’t take too long either. I would definitely recommend Sono Bello to anyone. I will definitely be back to them to utilize more services!”

“I signed up for a consultation for Liposuction. First of all the agent that called English wasn’t that great, second I was denied the consultation because I’m a diabetic and my A1C is above 7. I know my A1C is on the high side right now but that should not ever keep me from being able to have an consultation to at least get the information I need. I already know what my A1C has to be and the work I need to do, knew that before even contacting Sonobello!! Your agent needs to be retrained!!! You just lost a customer before even really getting started. He flat said you’re not a good candidate for lipo, when diabetics clearly are good candidates once they’re blood sugar is under control!! I one has ever turned me down from having a consultation EVER!!! Very disappointing”

“Because I am a military vet, I have a specific expectation for timeliness. My appointment was at 12:30. I arrived at 12:15 and wasn’t seen until after 1pm. Although I was annoyed by this, Bryanna and Verenia were very accommodating and comforting. Soon thereafter, I was called into my appointment by Verenia. “My initial experience with this facility was great because their business is to convince you that they can make your cosmetic dreams come true; and I bought it. The staff was attentive and kind, and the nurses and doctors were my cheerleaders as I got closer to my cosmetic makeover and “a brand new me.” However, my issue came after the 7-month mark when the results I was looking for didn’t surface. I finally met with the surgeon that performed my procedure who told me I needed a full tummy tuck in order to achieve my goals which floored me because I had already spent $11, 000 (with a discount) to make my current results happen. I spoke to the manger/owner regarding a refund for any follow-on procedures I paid for and she said she would work with me to get some of my money back, but it’s been two months of calling the office and being placed on hold for 52-minute or more that has forced me to get a lawyer.

When you sign all your paperwork, you get at least one “healing” Venus treatment ($500/session) included in the cost of your package and you can pay for additional treatments if you believe it will help improve your overall look in the end, but once payment is made, it is non-refundable no matter what happens and if you don’t use the service, they don’t compensate you with anything else, you just lose everything. I recently went back to read my paperwork to find that even though you are monitored for one year after your procedure to ensure satisfaction, all packages expire 6 months after purchase. How does that work? I find this dishonest and advise anyone needing cosmetic help to get with a true doctor’s office to get honest advice for your body type because everything advertised on T.V. And the radio is not what they profess to be.”

She is a complete gem. She was honest and compassionate. I am a "no bullshit" type of person and she was the perfect consultant. She understood where I was coming from, answered all my questions, and made me feel like there is finally hope for me. I know it sounds dramatic, but my view of myself is literally the worst it can be. To know that this person was able to give me the information and supporting documentation as i askedd for it, is what allowed me to decide that same day that this was the right thing for me to do and go through with the process. V and the front desk ladies are courteous, friendly, understanding, knowledgeable and professional. Sonobello is a good place to go because of the people that work there. “Where do I start? My experience at Sono Bello has been nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment I walk and greeted by Klarissa I feel welcomed and cared about. I was full of questions and apprehensive when I had my first consultation with Dr. Shaner. I not only had all my questions answered openly and honestly by Nanette and Dr. Shane, but I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands. Fast forward to the day of the procedure- clearly I was nervous but again they took great care of me, and was laughing I hopped on the table. Was it painful? Yes, there were moments where I felt pain, but Dr. Shaner quickly acknowledged it and continuously asked if I was comfortable. Nanette went out of her way as well to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Shaner’s wit kept me entertained (when I wasn’t dozing off). A week out and I had my first follow up. Again Klarissa was there to greet me and help me set up my next appointment with a smile on her face. I was seen by Andrea who was extremely supportive and took the time to answer my questions. On my way out every one was so friendly. I cannot say enough about the customer service, but my one week post op results speak for themselves. Lipo with skin removal- I’m still experiencing some discomfort- that’s to be expected, but when I saw my before pictures to now- I felt amazing! Looking forward to seeing the final results! “The staff are very friendly and nice, I’m giving them a 4 stars because I wish I would have had the in person consultation with the doctor initially, before putting the down payment for the procedure. The doctor said that I needed an additional procedure done besides the Lipo, to pull down my skin to look tighter, however, after the procedure I had kind of a lump looking over my belly button, the nurse said that it was loose skin , and recommended the Venus Legacy treatment , to help out to tight the skin, I was concerned about paying more for this treatment, however Lisa, the manager was very nice, she cared about my concerns and put together a great package deal for me to be able to get the number of treatments I need to achieve my goal. Thank you for taking the time to take care of my concerns Lisa! I really appreciate it!”

Well iam excited to tell you when I met with Dr Westfield I was pleasantly surprised. He did not pitch the service or tell I needed more. Dr Westfield ask me what was important and examined me to provide expert feedback. When I ask him for his best recommendation for my situation he explained what he could see and what might benefit me the most. I could not be happier with that kind of truth. We made some minor changes to my original plan.....and that is exactly what I wanted 💯.
I just wanted to be helped not sold.

“I live in San Diego, CA and have had a consult there. I was then sent to Texas for work and visited the San Antonio office for a consult. The San Antonio office was well trained, informative and transparent. The San Diego office told me I had visceral fat and not subcutaneous fat. I had a Dexa Scan (like a full body MRI) done and it showed the opposite. I have more subcutaneous fat. Denisse Gunn was well trained and her comments were consistent with the scan I had that she was not aware of. Austin could not have been better than San Antonio, so my search stopped with San Antonio. Just think, San Diego just lost business because of bad information and lack of training, where San Antonio picked it up and scored.
And thank you Kimberley Keys for awesome customer service as well!”

I have had an amazing Sono Bello experience from my initial consult visit with Verenia better known as V, to my amazing surgeon Dr. Westfield and nurses Alexus and Andrea. I have successful completed multiple procedures with Dr. Westfield. He's meticulous and takes pride in his craft. He ensured during each procedure I knew exactly what area(s) were being targeted and what to expect afterward. He called and checked on me after each procedure as well as his nurses to ensure things were going well.

Each office visit Vanessa welcomed me with a huge smile as soon as I entered the office. For the comfort of my family, she personally checked on me during one of my procedures. That's going above and beyond. Klarissa has also provided outstanding, friendly customer service during each of my visits. I've personally witness both of them greet patients with a warm smile as well as provide answers to questions, necessary paperwork and appointments keeping us on schedule and informed.

“I had abdomen and waist liposuction exactly one year ago. I was desperate and vulnerable when I had my phone consultation and I remember the pitch like it was yesterday. The representative told me that when all was said and done, that I would go from a size 10 to a 6 and I made the decision to do it there and then. By the Time I went in for the in person consultation I had already put down the deposit. During the consultation I was never told that my surgery would have to be split in two. The day of the surgery they told me that they could not do all the areas in one session and made me come back in two weeks for the second part, Which meant more time off work that I hadn’t originally budgeted for. Following the surgery I followed a reasonable diet and was back at the gym within a couple months. I’m sitting here now, one year later, $11k in the hole, and looking EXACTLY the same as I did one year ago. This was the biggest waste of money of my life and I deeply regret getting it done. “San antonio sonobello procedure was 7/9 @ 7am.
Procedure went well I didn't feel any pain until my upper waist in rib area but didn't last long. Doctor schaner and nurses kept making sure I was OK the whole time.
I had upper abs lower abs waist and hips with EX. I am 2 weeks post op today
The only thing bothering me is then EX incision it's very sore other than that I feel great.

“To be honest I was really happy with my experience during my consultation with Denisse, but when the office called to confirm my pre-op appointment they had moved it back an hour. Usually not a problem but they moved it to 5:15/5:30 pm! With traffic that drive would be ridiculous, not to mention I already arranged a sitter for the original 4:15pm appointment. The office staff told me I could cancel or reschedule my surgery if that didn't work for me. So I guess overall, you can pay $15,000 for cosmetic surgery but don't expect the office staff to care at all about you as a person and if they inconvenience you, well too bad so sad. You either want the surgery or you don't. Really unprofessional, makes you question if this is a good option after all.”

“My surgery was two months ago, and I waited to write this review because I brought all my concerns to the office manager and was giving them a chance to address my issues and since my surgery I have not had any type of follow up from anyone in the office. My consultation was done by someone in the office that’s not a doctor or medical professional. This person made all kinds of promises including; that the procedure was pain free and I would be able to return in about 4 days. I’m upset that I  was rushed to put down a $1,000  deposit to make sure I would get the special for that month, Later to learn that it was not a special and that was the regular cost of this procedure. Their schedules are a nightmare! My appointments were getting rescheduled or I would show up to the office and they would inform me that they had my appointment down for a later time. There was always a lack of communication in the office. Even my surgery date had to be rescheduled because the doctor was going out of town that day. When I went in to meet my doctor, I was shocked at how old he was, and what was even more surprising was that he informed me that I had a lot of damage to my stomach above my belly button, so I may be left with a roll there?! It was not an issue at my consultation. After I was visibly upset, I was asked, what my expectations were? (This was after the doctor left the room even though I was upset and the nurse was trying to somewhat console me). I informed them of the promises they made during my initial consultation. No loose skin! I was provided some pictures of what it may look like after surgery to get a better understanding of what they were referring to.  I felt trapped, since I already placed my deposit and they made it very clear it was non-refundable, unless the doctor wouldn’t find you fit for surgery. I went ahead with the surgery because this was very important to me. The day of surgery, I received a phone call if I could arrive early because the doctor was ahead of schedule. I informed them that unfortunately, I was not able to because of my ride arriving from Austin to pick me up. I arrived on time, at my scheduled surgery date and had to wait over 4 hours in a room alone. Nothing was ever communicated with me on why I was waiting, and no one ever checked on me even after medication was provided to me. When I felt the medication start to kick in, I felt drowsy. I ended up writing a phone number down on a napkin with a marker because no one came into the room, and the phone number was for my family member that was picking me up. Before that though I had asked nurses to take down the number several times. I finally curled up into the only chair they had in that cold room and fell asleep. Right before surgery, I met with the doctor again, and he mentions to me that I possibly be needing lipo in the pubic area. This was my first time hearing about it, even after meeting before the day of the procedure. I was then told it would be an additional $1,200 and he left the room again. I sat there in tears, unsure of what to do next. The office manager came in because I was so upset and told me I may or may not need that procedure, to not worry about that area and just get the surgery I was scheduled for. I was uncomfortable during the whole procedure, nothing like what was described to me, occurred. It felt like my insides were on fire. I asked the doctor if I could be given something for the pain because it was extremely uncomfortable, to which the doctor responded, I asked if you were comfortable, do you want to just stop the whole surgery? I felt embarrassed, his rude and arrogant response was unexpected. I felt vulnerable as I laid there naked on the surgery bed. I told him I wanted to finish and he continued. When I left Sono Bello and traveled some ways away, I noticed that my saline lock had been left in!! We had turn around and return to this awful place to get this device removed! Thereafter, I was told the doctor would”

“I am so grateful for my experience at Sono Bello on Sonterra in San Antonio Texas. The surgeons and staff here are not in it for the money, rather, they truly care for the well being and satisfaction of the patient. Let me tell you WHY. I planned on having laser Lipo and Venus treatments done on my lower body. I paid my deposit to secure the date. From the consultation with Verenia, I felt at ease and comfortable. Verenia answered all of my questions via text that I had bc I was understandably scared and nervous. She is truly an amazing person. And I got to connect with her and share personal stories during my consult. I could NOT leave without giving her a huge hug. When I went in for my postop appointment, I had two surgeons Dr K. review my ‘problem’ areas and he recommended that I DID NOT NEED laser lipo, and I could actually be doing more harm than good if I did. While I was disappointed because I was looking forward to the procedure, I also felt relieved and grateful that he held my best interest at heart, and did not try to go through with the procedure simply to make money. The nurse in the Pre Op room was also incredibly nice and even encouraged the second opinion from Dr. S. who basically said that I was not a good candidate for Lipo because there was not enough fat in my area to remove. I met with the area manager who happened to be at the office that day, and she was so nice and asked if I wanted my deposit back, but because I was so grateful for my experience, I still decided to go forward with the Venus treatments and even purchased more than I had initially planned!! I met Beth for the first time yesterday for my Venus consult and she was so sweet and kind. I look forward to the next 8 weeks of going in for Venus!! From start to finish, the entire staff had been kind and genuine in their want for me to be satisfied with my experience. It’s a far drive for me to make but I will definitely be going back!!!”

I had high bp I was not aware of so my first surgery was postponed and I appreciate Dr Schaner noticing this issue I had not noticed and instructing me to seek proper care for bp. My procedure was yesterday with Dr Schaner and he was amazing and explained everything to me. Dr Schaner even called me in the evening to check on me and explain I can reach him anytime if I have any issues. I will be going back for more procedures and I definitely highly recommend the San Antonio Sono Bello along with Dr Schaner and his amazing team!”

“I had a good experience. Initially, it was a little confusion with the consultation because of COVID. However, everyone was so polite and helpful. It put my mind at ease. From the pre-op to the post-op, the professionalism remained impeccable. So far, I’m pleased with my results. Although I’m still swollen, I can see the definition coming through. I had contouring on my bra roll, waist, and flanks. I’m relatively petite and exercise, but those areas were resistant to exercise. I should have done this procedure a long time ago. Don’t let fear deter you from getting the body you want! I’ll be honest, leading up to the procedure was nerve wrecking. Once I was medicated, I was put at ease. Throughout the procedure, there was constant communication so I knew what was going on. It didn’t hurt like I thought it would either. After the procedure, you will be very sore but I didn’t feel like I needed to go to the ER or anything. I took the prescribed pain killers and rested. The first two days are tough but it gets better day three. It’s really important to walk around and take the prescribed medication, in order to feel better. I followed the directions given and was fine. Highly recommended!!!”

“From the moment I walked in it was a pleasant experience. Klarissa and Kimberly both greeted me with smiles which made me calm down because I was already nervous lol hopefully it didn't show that bad! Then I had to fill out some quick paperwork which wasn't complicated at all. Then not even ten minutes had passed and I was already being called back by Verenia. As soon as we walked in the room and the door closed Verenia never stopped smiling and made me feel comfortable about what was to come... (the most nerve wracking part of all of this ) Having to show her my stomach! I literally try not to keep mirrors in my room so I don't have to see my stomach... it's never been flat, or had a nice shape... no matter what I did! (even though I dreaded this moment and it was super embarrassing I just tried not to look at the mirror & closed my eyes) Somehow even while assessing my abdomen Verenia who was still smiling at me and complimenting my shape made me feel super comfortable. (She's literally just the best and so kind!). After we talked about all my options she made me feel like I can do this and that I will look great afterwards! I got excited just by how excited she was for me lol all my nerves just went out the window! Needless to say after I left my consultation Verenia stayed in contact with me that same day, was quick to reply to all my many questions and messages and I ended up booking my appointment with them! I'm super excited to see how I will look... I've been thinking about doing this for years (since 2011) and can't say thank you enough for all your help and patience to Klarissa, Kimberly and Verenia you guys' customer service is outstanding!
