David R. Reitter, M.D.

Dr. David R. Reitter is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his medical degree at The Sanford School of Medicine of the University of South Dakota in Vermilion, SD.

Dr. Reitter completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, in Peoria, IL.

Dr. Reitter is a well-respected surgeon with advanced surgical skills and over two decades of surgical experience. He focuses on interpersonal dynamics helping him to connect with his patients. He believes in positively impacting patients by addressing their medical concerns through active listening and compassionate treatment plans. Dr. Reitter believes everyone has a personal story that guides them forward in their life’s journey, and he is honored to be a part of that journey for each patient he meets.

When Dr. Reitter is not in the operating room, he enjoys cooking, golfing, and hiking.
