A native of San Jose, California, Dr. Matthews brings with him a strong connection to the local community and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. He currently resides in California with his wife and their three children, where they enjoy a fulfilling and active family life.

Dr. Matthews is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to connect with a broader range of patients and ensure that language is never a barrier to quality care. Beyond the operating room, he has a unique and playful hobby: collecting vintage Wacky Packages stickers, a pastime that reflects his appreciation for nostalgia and humor. In his downtime, Dr. Matthews also finds joy in spending quality time with his family and engaging in outdoor work, including gardening and maintaining his land—a grounding activity that he finds both restorative and rewarding.
