Non-invasive Liposuction vs. TriSculpt
You’ve probably heard of companies promoting “non-invasive” liposuction; maybe you have even seen the long list of $100 “laser lipo like” deals on Groupon. Before you get excited by these seemingly too-good-to-be-true “deals”, it’s important to really understand what you are buying. Are these really liposuction procedures, and will they deliver your desired body transformation goals?
Non-invasive liposuction procedures don’t actually remove any fat from your body. These procedures are non-surgical, meaning no incision is made. They simply use a combination of heat and light to disrupt fat cells. It’s then up to your body’s immune system to eliminate these fat cells over a period of weeks to months following the procedure. Additionally, these non-surgical options are only able to treat a small area of the body at a time. They may require multiple sessions, and ultimately only help eliminate about 25% of the fat in a certain area.
These non-invasive procedures are completely different from traditional liposuction, which is why they have such drastically different price points. While they may be sold as an easy and cheaper alternative to lipo they also deliver dramatically different results. It’s important not to confuse these technologies with true liposuction procedures performed by board-certified plastic surgeons.
Sono Bello’s TriSculpt is a minimally invasive liposuction surgery where physicians use power-assisted technologies with micro cannulas and gently suction to effectively remove the majority of unwanted fat. Surgeons then perform the final contouring touches with special laser-assisted equipment.
Sono Bello’s minimally invasive approach gives patients the benefits of traditional liposuction without the need for and risks of general anesthesia. Instead, patients remain awake throughout the procedure and receive local anesthesia in the areas of treatment.
