“If I could give it zero stars I would! Less than 6 months ago I had my upper arms, upper back and bra rolls done. I am VERY disappointed in this facility. I have been to Sonobello in MD and NYC and have no complaints! To start, when meeting the doctor, I told him that I have zero tolerance for pain and I would like the "cocktail" of pills they give to be heavy. I told him I had a couple of Sonobello procedures and remembered and felt nothing during my procedures and wanted the same thing with him. The Dr. asked if I want to be able to speak with him during the procedure or be incoherent. I told him I did NOT want to have any conversation and he said he understood. When placing me on my stomach in the procedure room he told me he was going to just pierce my skin and feel slight pressure. I FELT full blown PAIN of him makiking the hole in my upper back and screamed so loud and cried and told him I felt it. He didn't stop and I think I passed out from the PAIN! Secondly, I called several times complaining about the painful compression garment which was leaving a deep impression in my skin and made me bruise and leave an ugly mark in the middle of my upper belly where it fastens. I was sent home with another garment which was no better. I called left messages and spoke to somone. I was told I would get a call back and one mailed to me. NEVER heard from anyone or received anything. On my last appointment I complained about not receiving any call back about my concerns with the compression garment not really compressing my back. The nurse suggested a full body garment. I was also told that I was still swollen and it takes a year to see full results. Well July 3rd will be my 6 month post op appt. and I have been to the ER and Nuerologist to be told that I have Nuerapathy! Damage to my nerves that is causing me extreme pain under my right armpit, the side of my right bra roll, around my right elbow with throbbing pain, constant tingling and numbness on right hand and three fingers. I called the office in Rocky Hill and she didn't sound the least bit concerned about what their current patient is going through. I was told to let them know on my 6th month appointment on July 3,2025. Today is June 18th, 2025. Besides the HORRIFIC PAIN I am going through, I have a large amount of swelling in my right arm, and there still is the SAME fat AROUND both my elbows when that was a concern I specifically asked the Dr. to take away! He again told me he would take care of that. I also still have fat on my back. I DEFINITELY would want a revision but NOT with CT if had a choice. I've had the mommy makeover, lower abs and waist area in MD. I've had my hips done in New York. Choosing Rocky Hill Connecticut to get my arms, upper back and bra rolls was THE worst mistake . Now I am on a nerve medication for the damage made by the Dr. and haunted by the way I was treated during the beginning of the procedure. Me screaming and crying in pain on the table should have told the Dr. to either stop or give me something more to help me. I feel as if the entire facility including the Dr. is cold and uncaring about the darker shade of people by the way I was treated. BEWARE of this Rocky Hill facility!”

Given that the price is based on height and weight, I paid over $6,000 with my post-op treatments at 5'5" and in the 160s weight range.

The initial consultation gave me hope, since I asked what should my results be and the surgeon told me that my chin would look like it did when I was younger, skinnier, before having kids. I asked this a multitude of times even right before the procedure and was told the same thing. However, I now feel as though I was sold a false bill of goods. After investing so much, I diligently followed all the recommendations, yet I saw no results.

During every post-op appointment, I raised my concerns but was consistently dismissed. Staff members claimed they noted my concerns and my requests to see a surgeon in my file for all my post op appointments, yet nothing changed. One staff member even acknowledged that I still had fat on my chin. Despite my repeated requests to speak to the surgeon, I received the runaround and full of excuses. I was told that I wouldn’t be able to see a surgeon until the six-month post-op mark, but this was never made clear during my inquiries and my first initial post op appointments. If the surgeon had informed me that the results would be only 50/50, I would not have invested so much money based on the expectations set during my consultation.

As the six-month mark approached and results remained absent, I spoke to the manager, who promised me I would see the surgeon to determine if I qualified for a second procedure. And I repeatedly asked and said, are you sure I will be able to see a surgeon on my 6-month post op? The manager promised me that she will make it happen for me to a see a surgeon for that day. However, the day before my appointment, I was informed that none of the surgeons would not be available for my 6 month post op. It was clear they had known this ahead of time but chose to wait until the last moment to inform me. My frustrations grew with each excuse and delay, ultimately leading me to express my anger and disappointment, declaring that I was fed up with their services.

To add insult to injury, no one from Sono Bello followed up to address my concerns after I invested so much money. It’s infuriating to feel completely ignored. My chin looks the same, and I’ve received zero support for my dissatisfaction.

I should have believed my colleagues when they said this is a cosmetic procedure and all they care about is the money.

Although I was hesitant and nervous about being awake for the procedure, i chose sonobello because of the shortend downtime and not being fully put under anesthesia (also able to go home right after surgery)....the surgery ended up being just slightly uncomfortable, the meds keep you awake and aware but not out of it. I wouldnt consider it traumatic at all.I had Dr. Rocco and Samantha as my nurse, both very pleasant, explaining each step of the way what to expect Before & After the surgery. So far, I am extremely pleased with my results. I am post 11 days. I had lipo on my back bra roll, upper and lower abs, waist and the abex. The 1st few days are pretty intense with soreness but slowly gets better. 100% worth it and would recommend for positive results, shorter down time than traditional tummy tuck and overall customer service. “I took my wife here to get evaluated for a mommy makeover. The staff was good. Expect a little bit of a delay, since we had to wait about an hour after our appointment time. I know there are a lot of questions but this should be factored in the time waiting. Monique was our advisor to begin the process and was very thorough explaining all the financial aspects. Starla explained the process when we finally went for the evaluation, she was a fantastic nurse. After speaking with Dr. Rocco, which was a great physician, we found out my wife didn't qualify for the program. Sono Bello honored the refund, but the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was the lapse in communication towards the end of the refund. The refund process started on March 15th and we were told it would take 7-10 business days to be returned to the card. I called on March 29th to get an update. I was then told the refund would be sent in the mail because it was too long ago the transaction was processed. I checked my account today April 4th and the refund was in my account. I'm not sure if I was told differently to be dismissed off the phone call. Constructive criticism (10-14 business days) would be a better turnaround and pitch to give patients waiting for a refund. Other than that, I would still recommend this place to anyone looking for this type of procedure.”

I drove 45 minutes to the office, and arrived 12 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. Signed in and completed paperwork. At 12:45, 45 minutes after my appointment should have began, I approached the staff and asked how much longer and that I had a 12:00 appointment. She politely apologized and tried to reach out to someone to see how much longer. I waited a few minutes and asked if she heard back. She replied that she hadn’t. She then informed me that they purposely overbook appointments because sometimes people don’t show up. I was LIVID. Apparently in my case all 3 of us showed up. I couldn’t wait any longer and left to drive 45 minutes back home. Wasted over 2 hours of my time. Apparently, they feel their time is more valuable than their clients!!!!”

They told me to expect to be puffy as I recover and that I would be clearly be in pain. If this is what “puffy” looks like then I can’t wait to see what my final result will look like.
