“August 2025 update - I was not wrong about these shady practice. Currently exposed to non-qualified people doing surgery, overcharging and them not doing proper follow-up. All of which we experienced. If they take u in a room or call u later with a sales pitch, run.
Results may vary, please remember that as my wife had to go in twice and $10k we spent was not worth it. Basically, it is liposuction. When they take you into the room with sound proofing and sofas, expect high pressure sales and they impose a short deadline to make a decision. I am surprised that reviews with less than four stars are not posted here. Long story, short...it is assembly line, where patient are cycled thru out the day, glossy brochures, fancy waiting areas and pressured sales. It may work for you, but for my wife the over $10k was not worth it.
Everyone.... everyone is offered employee pricing as if all their staff is getting it.... marketing to make you think you getting a great deal. They stick big diapers where they make holes for liposuction and leave up to your partner to take care of patient at night and each day after.... limited follow up visits.”

“I have a procedure done at Sono Bello in Ontario. Everyone was great including the surgeon. However the results didn't even come close to what I was promise! I called the office after a couple of months after the procedure to tell them that I wasn't happy with the results. They said to come in and do another procedure on me to make sure that I'm happy. I really appreciated that! However after a couple of months past bye, the results were the same. I spent over $14,000 and didn't get the results that I wanted. Sono Bello told me that their is nothing more that they can do. I waisted $14,000 with no lasting results. The results didn't even come close to what I was told. It was like flushing down $14,000 the toilet. Sono Bello got their money and I got screwed! Stay away from this place and their other locations!
They should have refunded at least have of what I paid for but they didn't!

“I had the best experience ever with the ABEX procedure @ SONO BELLO in Columbus, Ohio. As soon as you walk in the door you’re greeted by Kira or. Tarrah . They are both very friendly and welcoming. Kira was very patient with me while processing my payment. The consultation with Angela was very informative, honest and straightforward. She was very kind and knowledgeable providing me with the best option and pricing. After payment I got scheduled for surgery surprisingly quick. I had my pre-op appointment the following day with Dr. Rak who is very experienced, informative, knowledgeable and honest. He doesn’t sugar coat anything and lets you know what to expect after your healing process. Honestly from what I’m seeing 6 days post-op, is that he under promised and over delivered. When I arrived a couple of days later @ 6am I was greeted at the front desk by 2 nurses who were very friendly & welcoming . Cymone and Shay. Cymone walked me back to a room similar to the room @ pre-op, she explained the process and told me everything to expect. I had so many different emotions going on anxious ,anxiety and fear . Cymone was very calming and reassured me that Dr. Rak was an excellent surgeon with years of experience and that I had nothing to worry about. She told me that I would be getting some pills orally to help with pain and relaxation during the procedure. She told me that Dr. Rak was going to mark the areas being treated and give me some numbing shots. They gave me a few minutes for the medication and numbing shots to kick in and the assistant Jamie came and got me. Jamie placed me on the operating bed. Honestly due to the medication I can’t remember if she or Dr. Rak explained and showed me how to get in the position that he would be telling me to get in during the procedure. The procedure isn’t painful enough to remember. Anyone that has given birth the pain from the procedure is a 1 in pain compared to that. After my procedure was finished Dr. Rak told me to look at my stomach and how flat and smooth it was. Bye bye mommy pouch. Jamie helped put garments and my clothes on, which I brought an extra set because I didn’t want to put clothes that had already been exposed to any germs from the time I left my house and the pre-op room. Jamie is very kind and compassionate, she gave me a big hug and she and Dr. Rak both praised me on how good II did. remember Shay calling my husband to come pick me up, she wheeled me to the car and helped me in. Dr. Rak ran to greet and brief my husband before he drove off. When I got home I slept a lot and didn’t have to start taking my pain meds until early in the morning the following day. Post-op day 2&3 were the most uncomfortable days for me some feeling no pain to minimal pain at times. post-op 4,5,6 day. It’s very important to follow the post-op instructions because I noticed walking @ least 10 minutes every 2 hours helped a lot with any discomfort or pain. I’m 6 days post-op and when I look at myself in the mirror I look amazing swelling and all. IDr. Rak called me the day after my procedure to see how I was feeling and the nurse Mallory from his office a few days later. I go to my 1 week post-op appointment and I’m excited to see what my new measurements are. because even though I’m still very swollen there’s a huge difference from when I got the procedure!!!!!”

I’ve been a patient at Sono Bello since February, and overall, I’ve had a very positive experience. The medical staff and the majority of the front office team Felecia and Corey have been consistently professional, kind, and supportive. Their customer service is truly exceptional, and I’ve felt well cared for throughout my journey. In addition Amber and Nysel has done exceptional Venus Treatment

However, I do feel it’s important to share ongoing concerns regarding one front desk associate, Angie. This is now the second time I’ve had a noticeably unsettling interaction with her. In both cases, she came across as dismissive, lacking basic interpersonal skills, and not demonstrating the warmth or professionalism I’ve come to expect from the rest of the team.

More concerning, I’m beginning to feel as though she may be nitpicking or unnecessarily confrontational with me, which is disappointing and uncomfortable as a long-standing patient. Frankly, she does not embody the qualities needed for someone in a front-facing customer service role—and in my opinion, should not be leading or representing the front desk.

Sono Bello is known for high standards, and I hope they will address this inconsistency to ensure every patient feels welcomed from the moment they walk in.

Sono Bello gives them an 8 week crash course with one of their current surgeons to teach them how to do multiple surgeries this company offers. Real, medical school -trained cosmetic surgeons do eight YEARS of training. Do not risk your life in the hands of someone whose ego is so big they think they can perform multiple completely new surgeries with only 8 weeks of training. It’s just not worth it. 19 major medical malpractice cases filed in just the last 1.5 years alone should tell you all you need to know. Save up a bit longer and go to an expert whose medical school focus was cosmetic surgery. I’ll take 8 years over 8 weeks every single time when it comes to someone cutting me open.”

“I scheduled an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early, only to have a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Another person arrived at the same time as me, and after waiting for an hour, that person was taken in while I was told, “I’ll be right with you.” Another hour passed with no update, no communication, and no consideration. The receptionist never checked in or acknowledged the long delay. When I finally got up to leave, I was casually asked if I wanted to reschedule — still with no apology or explanation as to why two people were scheduled for the same time slot.

This level of disorganization and lack of basic courtesy is completely unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values their time or expects even minimal professionalism.”

“I can't speak for everyone but I had a great experience overall. Surgery day experience was anxiety producing but the nurses and my surgeon eased my mind and walked me through the process so I know what was happening every step of the way. Sure there's some pain involved but it was nothing I didn't anticipate because I was told at my consultation and pre op exam what to expect. It's still my preference than going under.
My recovery was quick and again the nurses called and followed up and answered all my questions. And the best thing is--- I've already went down 2 dress sizes in just a little over 2 months. Thank you Sono Bello!”

“Be careful. Fine print says you are responsible for $2495 for pre surgery-fee visit once scheduled, even if u later cancel the procedure altogether. I was given the option of paying in weekly installments and paid a total of approx $1300 of that. When I canceled they said, 'ok but you know you still owe 2495 for the pre-surgical visit since you attend it'. I did NOT recall hearing that in the pre or post sale pitch/discussion, which means it was not mentioned; however I was advised it was documented in the contract I e-signed. When I complained, the consultant s/w Mgmt and they ended up waiving the balance.
Also, PLEASE read the BBB reviews before you schedule so you don't end up disappointed with the way ur body looks even 6-12 months after the procedure. As I mentioned, I followed my intuition and canceled my loan and the procedure 1 week prior to surgery date. As a result, I feel like I saved myself financial hardship, as well as health & body-related hardships. In fact, I give glory to God for giving me the hunch. Btw when u go on BBB, click on Complaints where they are up to date, even as of this month of July, 2025. There are no reviews there..only Complaints. Bro..I feel like I dodged a bullet! I was introduced to Sonobello through a promotional email offering a limited time free consultation. If ur on the up and up in the uber-profitable & vain market of NYC, you wouldn't need promotionals..just word of mouth. I missed that clue & it cost me a little bit in upfront fees. I lost that battle, but in the end I won the war. (ps., also check out Quora or Reddit reviews)♡”

“The staff, nurses and doctors are all very friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
They worked me in very quickly at my request. Dr. Kumbla did an excellent job during the preop of giving me realistic expectations and talking me through the procedure and timeline of recovery as well as possible avenues, that we might have to explore, including postponing the Ab EX until a later date, which we ended up doing. She and Manny were excellent during the procedure. The only suggestion I have is two ask patients about their medication preferences rather than making assumptions based upon allergies. I was given an alternative pain med, which in my experience is not as strong, because I'm allergic to Codeine and the routine medication is a derivative of codeine. However, I'm not allergic to that medication. So I could have been given it at the beginning. It may have saved me a little pain during the procedure. Otherwise, everything throughout this process has been wonderful.”

“Following VSG, I had a lower body lift and arm lipo done to remove loose skin. The staff is amazing, from the beginning to post-procedures. Stacey during my consultation gave an homey-vibe like we knew each other for years.
Obviously post-op healing was uncomfortable, but the staff would check in to ensure I was healing properly throughout the post times. I was also able to communicate with the nurses directly if there were any concerns. Princess, one of the nurses was so kind and really helped give me that “you’re going great and you’ll look amazing once healed” boost, even when I felt like a hunchback. I felt like their staff was down to earth, which helped make me feel comfortable.
The two ladies at the downstairs front desk were so nice! Chelsea and (I’m sorry I can’t remember the other woman’s name).
I would recommend Sonobello. They might be more money than others, but I felt like I was in good hands and taken care of.”

“I was shocked when I showed up for my appointment. I was directed to an office with a patient specialist who did not appear to have any medical credentials but was tasked with evaluating and determining what procedures I needed to have done. There was no physician or nurse in sight. It is very problematic to have what amounts to a receptionist evaluate patients and decide what medical procedure they should have. In addition I proceeded to consult with 4 board certified plastic surgeons after visiting Sono Bello and their diagnosis and recommendations were vastly different than what I was told at Sono Bello. The quote I received from Sono Bello was $16,000 more than I paid for a full tummy tuck with liposuction and muscle repair at a board certified plastic surgeon in the city. Do your research. Stay away from this place!!”

“Every last employee from the receptionist to the surgeon Dr. Rak. The facility is very clean every last area. I interacted with Kira at the front on several occasions because over the years I had a few other consultations and as many people she interacts with she remembered me. I’ve only interacted with Taira a a few times but she was very pleasant as well. Angela did a wonderful job explaining the areas that needed treated and . She works with you to provide the best pricing she can offer. Everyone should note that the treatment areas are very low that price doesn’t include the cost of the surgical team and they’re not working for free and deserve every last penny of the cost that is additional to the treatment areas. I had my pre-op appointment 2 days before my surgery with Dr. Rak with Bri one of the nurses assistants. He was very down to earth and provided so much details leaving me with very few questions to ask. He examines your area’s very throughly and provides you with what you can expect from the procedure as well as what not to expect. He doesn’t sugar coat anything. The day of my surgery two of the nurses Cymone and Shay were sitting at the reception desk at my arrival. I was very nervous but Cymone reassured me that Dr. Rak is a very experienced doctor and even though I would be awake I would feel little to no pain. She conversated with me the entire time until Dr Rak and his surgical assistant came which calmed and eased my anxiety. Shay started my I.V, Cymone gave me a few oral pills, medication that included pain pills, nausea pill, antibiotics and anxiety. After that kicked in some Dr. Rak came in to mark all of the area’s that were being treated. His surgical assistant Jamie came in the room to get me ready to enter the surgery room. Dr.Rak gave me numbing shots which doesn’t feel any worse than getting your finger stuck for a diabetes test. Jamie took me in the surgery room and got me positioned on the surgical bed started my vitals then Dr.Rak came in and started my surgery. I was so relaxed that I barely felt anything. I was only alert enough to move in all of the positions he needed me in to work on each area. I remember Jamie assisted me in positions I had trouble with from being so relaxed from the pill cocktail. After the surgery was over they both told me that I did a wonderful job and then Dr.Rak let me see my results trust me when I say he under promised at my pre-op and over delivered with the surgery he did. My stomach hasn’t been this flat since I was born. I heard someone call my husband to come pick me up and then Jamie helped get me dressed Shay wheeled me to the patient pick up for my husband to get me. Dr. Rak ran to the car as I was getting in to give me husband a quick summary and Jamie gave me a hug. So when I say the WESTERVILLE OHIO SONO BELLO is at least a 5 star rating not one line in this review is exaggerated. I have been home for 6 hours now and the pain that I feel is like mild cramping when you start your menstrual cycle probably a little less. With that being said I’m very happy , grateful and excited with my results!!!!”
