The only reason i am giving it 2 stars instead of one is because of the staff. Everybody was amazing, as for the whole experience? Traumatizing. Nobody should alert and conscienc weekse for that experience. It is painful. You get thrown around like a rag doll and stabbed like someone is looking for a needle in a haystack. I was in tears on a table, completely exposed in 40° room. I had VERY little to remove(still cost me $10,000), and i had to two procedures(i was bedridden for 3 weeks after the first, and 2 for the second). Now i have to do a "revision procedure" with is another $2,500 to fix what they missed. I have divot marks in my thighs, back, and arms.
I loved the staff. Everyone, from the front desk, to the nurses, and even the doctor. It pains me to write this, but people need to know it isn't as simple as the commercials make it seem. This just may not be for everyone.”

“The doctor messed up the symmetry
on the front of my hips. The doctor said that, yes, some fat was left in on the right side, and he could fix that.
I proceeded to the front desk for scheduling and was told I needed to pay $2495.00 to have the additional surgery. The amount to be payed is for the in office surgical room. Disgraceful. Doctor can make a mistake and the patient must pay $2500 to have it corrected. Use them with caution! It's all up to them whether or not they "plan" to "miss" something so you must pay more for their "error '.”

“Do NOT visit this practice. I was scheduled for surgery in February and they called three days before my procedure and informed me that the doctor was no longer with their practice and I would need to come on in and see a different doctor and scheduled with them. The schedule conflicted and I have tried for almost two months now to get on their schedule. I finally asked for my money back and have been waiting for a call from their "practice manager" Daneen for over a week. Mind you it was said "practice manager" that I was talking to regarding rescheduling and after her not returning my texts for almost two weeks I requested the refund. HORRIBLE STAFF, do NOT waste your money. They don't answer the phone, don't call back. Pathetic. BBB is my next step.”

“From the initial consult to procedure everything was great. At first I had a fill in doctor, as my original doctor got injured. But just before my surgery, my original doctor came back. I met with him the day before surgery and he rescheduled my surgery because he read up on my charts, and it wouldn’t be a full two weeks since I had last vaped. I was disappointed, but really appreciated that it was very important to him that everything be right for the surgery and recovery so we waited 10 days to be sure. The day of the surgery I met with Kaitlyn, my nurse and I felt completely at ease immediately. Dr. Ju came in and got me ready and made me feel. Comfortable and not anxious at all. After the surgery, I was in rough shape, but Kaitlyn helped me transition to my ride home checked on me that night and called me the next day. Dr. Ju called the next day also. “I’ve been researching for at least 5 years. I’ve done 2 consults with Sono Bello over a year apart. I finally did it!

You hear and see all the pics of the bruising and immense pain. And it’s a bit terrifying.

But let’s start with the customer service. It’s top notch. Every one has always been super helpful and friendly. And I’ve always had At least 2 direct lines of communication that I can text. Even before surgery on a Sunday when I text and didn’t expect a response until Monday I received the information I needed.

Surgery day Brittni was there bright and early to greet my son and I at 530am( maybe 532 we were a wee bit tardy).

She was kind and helpful and you just felt at home and safe with her. I was terrified with the thought of being awake thinking about hearing the sounds of being cut on. And honestly. I don’t remember hearing anything. I dozed off and woke when spoken to. To be honest I’m sad they don’t offer the back lift to tackle my back rolls. The thought of traditional procedures after the SonoBello method hmmmmm

I’m a bit all over. Today is Tuesday my Abex and Trisculpt was Friday morning. Most of the drainage has stopped and the holes are closing. I’m allergic to steristrips which are normally used to cover the scar so I have glue.

I have minimal bruising and the pain was very manageable. I do have a higher pain threshold I believe. I took maybe 2-3 of the other pills that is for pain and inflammation and none of the narcotics!

I am itchy but I attribute that to healing. Like when you get a tattoo. Had I taken the narcotics I would have thought that was the cause. I’ll come back after my 1 week appointment on Friday”

“My experience turned out very negative. I was in pain for two weeks without benefit of needed medication. My suitures burst the 2nd week at my abdomen. The instructions given by the nurse andlater the doctor did not work. The scab kept pulling off of the sore. The nurse gave the wrong directions and so did the doctore. I ended up in the emergency room for antibiotics and bacitracin to treat the busted suitures which are still bleeding after 4 weeks. Now I have a scare on my abdomin for the rest of my life. “UPDATE 2:
I am 3 months post surgery and worse than last month. I am in sooooo much pain still. My abdomen is on fire. It hurts to move, it hurts to sleep and nobody can touch it. I can't wear tight close. They rub against and skin and it feels like someone is scratching my skin with sharp nails. I am literally taking pain killers daily. I can only get oil on my skin right now. I cant rub anything into my skin. I'm in so much pain I'm starting to become mentally drained. I have large lumps in my skin still. This surgery has ruined my life. If I could go back in time I would never have gotten this surgery. My PCP thinks that maybe the canula that was used in the surgery caused nerve damage. I will not be going back for any of my appointments and I would like a full refund on the venus legacy. There's no way I can sit through that at all with my pain. I ruined my body.

UPDATE:
Well I must say that the staff at the clinic and corporate have been amazing. They are helping me recover as best as I can during this time. I have been compensated for my experience. They have given me services to help with pain and the hard lumps I have. My body is just taking a little longer to recover. If your body is telling you something listen to it.

Please do your research on liposuction before you go through with the procedure. Some people have a great experience and some dont have a good experience. I am going to tell you my experience. As far as the business Sono Bello goes they have done a great job. I had abdomen liposuction and everything went great. I am healing and I didnt have any complications. Staff was respectful and nice, very professional. My issue is that the company doesn't give you an in depth synopsis of what recovery will be like. So I have very intense swelling. Not like water weight swelling. I had very hard lumps all over my abdomen. I am sore to the touch, very sensitive and I brusied so bad. My body did not like what it went through and has had a hard time recovering. The process is very slow and I am in constant pain and cannot get comfortable to save my life. Just do your research on everything involving the procedure and understand that the staff will try to give you info on what to expect, but your body will respond differently. Oh also there is a lot of additional expenses needed to maintain the procedure. Like lymphatic massages, new compression garments, roller ball for daily massages, tons and tons and tons of fluid intake. Just make sure this is what you really want. I regret it. I spend too much money to feel like absolute poop and inconvenience myself for months.”

“In the last two months, I have had two procedures performed by Dr. Gilbert. I cannot express how professional and knowledgeable Dr. Gilbert is. He is clearly a caring and skillful surgeon. I had zero complications with either prcedure and they were both virtually pain-free. I was exoertly cared for both times but amazing nurses. This last time Katelyn looked after me and made the entire procedure almost fun!!!

Last week, I also received my first Venus treatment - and it was LIFE-CHANGING! Linda was the absolute BEST! She explained everything before the procedure began and answered all my questions. I received the Venus treatment on the area Dr. Gilbert worked 4 weeks prior. I am not going to lie - the first 10 minutes were painful. But after that, the pain subsideded and I felt immediate relief in the swelling and tenderness left from the surgery. All the large pockets of swelling were massaged away and I felt so much better when I left. I cannot say what the results will look like in the future, but I can say that I felt incredible when I left. So, if you're thinking about Venus, it is well worth the money as an after-surgery treatment to relieve pain and swelling. I have purchased multiple packages for different areas and I will update my review after I am further into the treatment.

She never minimized my concerns nor did she EVER pressure me. Liz has a way of connecting on a compassionate yet professional way. Her knowledge of procedures and ability to share what she has learned added a degree of comfort that is priceless. 
My stubborn, genetic thigh fat has prevented me from feeling confident and loving myself. 
I’m 3 days out and still have a fair amount of swelling and oozing but I LOVE my NEW right thigh!!! I can’t wait for part 2!

“I have never experience such a blatant disregard as a consumer before today's visit at Sonabella in Norfolk, VA.
I arrived early, as requested for a 10:30 appointment on June 27, 2024. At 11:10, I approached the desk again, to see when I could expect to be call back. I was shocked when the receptionist said, they would not be able to see me until 12:30!!!!!
I questioned her as to when she was going to inform me about the excessive, delay, and her flippant response was " I was waiting until you returned your paperwork ". Obviously, with such a back log, she knew, they were not on schedule, so why not inform me when I checked in almost an hour earlier.
Now mind you, I traveled over 45 minutes, in heavy traffic!

I left the the office angry, upset and disappointed with the lack of professionalism, and regard to my time. I wasted an entire morning, and nearly a half tank of gas due to this company's incompetence, and poorly run office management and procedures.”

Despite their rescheduling of my appointment from last week, I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early for paperwork and then left waiting for over an hour without any updates. Unless you have hours to spare waiting, I strongly recommend avoiding scheduling appointments with this office. They don't value your time!”

“I made an appointment a week ago. I received several text reminders which also included that I needed to be here 15 mins prior to my appointment time (the irony of this to come in a moment). I live over an hour away from this location on a good day- nevermind if you get stuck at one of the tunnels. I was strategic about my appointment time in hopes to avoid the high-traffic times of the day. I get here today only to be told that I have a two-hour wait because they’re running “extremely behind” and that the two appointments before me hadn’t even been taken back. Why wouldn’t they call and let this be known ahead of time? I am now making a 2.5 hour round-trip for absolutely nothing. And how do they even get two hours behind schedule?! This is absolutely unacceptable, and they were so nonchalant about it, as if this is no big deal and happens all the time. If I even decide to reschedule at all, it will 100% be at a different location. And I surely hope that this isn’t the standard across all locations.”

“I cannot express enough of how I appreciate Nayima. She works at the front desk and she has excellent customer service. When I arrived, Nayima welcomed me with comforting smile and explained to me how to fill out the long paperwork with excellent professionalism. And then when I was filling up the paperworks, I saw Nayima going out of her way to a guest in the waiting chairs to help answer questions about the paperworks. I’ve seen her multiple times literally sat next to a guest and comfort them and helped them. I can't tell you how grateful I was that my doctor was truthful with me, because after all, he said, it's all about the patient and not them.
No one tried to tell me I was just suffering from nerves, and no one tried to push ahead instead of listening to my doubts. If they had, I would have been so disappointed with substandard results, and upset that I couldn't trust what was said.

“From the front desk to my consultation with Ariel, (who allows me to text her with questions as they pop into my head) to the pre-op with Dr. Ayewah and Alex, everyone is so personal and knowledgeable. On the morning of my procedure, nerves set in. I was greeted at 5:30 am with a smile from my surgical nurse Lisa and taken back to my prep room. The prep was simple and easy. Lisa was attentive and professional, but was there for every question Dr Ayewah came in and marked the areas to be taken care of. She is perfection. I got my "cocktail" and it didn't take long for it to make me very comfortable. Lisa walked me into the procedure room and we began. The procedure itself is not painful. There is some tugging. “The staff at the Sono Bello Norfolk location are on point… the low ratings are a lie! I took an Uber to my 1-week post op appointment and my ETA was showing as 7 mins after my scheduled time so I was worried about being seen before everything shut down before the holidays. I called in advance and they were so accommodating and had my back. From inquiry to now, the process has been smooth. There were a ton of resources and reviews available online before I even reached out. I had scheduled an appointment with an AirSculpt location and the reviews weren’t great and it felt like they only wanted me to make a deposit for a sale - so I canceled and started researching local options and I’m thankful I did. After having gone through the consultation process with AirSculpt, I can say that Sono Bello made me feel more at ease and I didn’t feel like a sale. Liz was my consultant and was extremely down to earth. My procedure nurse Lisa was AMAZING and made my husband comfortable when he got nervous. I didn’t catch my post-op nurse’s name but she was so friendly and relatable as well. Every staff person and receptionist I’ve encountered has gone above and beyond to make me feel taken care of and human.

I was running about 5 min. late for my appt., so I called to notify them, thinking that was the polite thing to do (sometimes life happens and you can't control variables such as traffic accidents, etc. and you may be unintentionally late). The overwhelming impression I got was that they don't need or care if they have my business, but a month later, I'm STILL receiving texts suggesting I call to reschedule. I would love to, but after that first encounter, I figured I could at least find a place that could offer courtesy and professionalism.”

The care and service they provide are second to none.
I was a little skeptical about the process and procedure, but once it was fully explained, I was totally at ease and on board.
The care and professionalism starts with the front receptionist team of Cherrisse, Naima, Toy, and Cari. They were genuine, caring and very professional.

The superb management crew of Deneen and Carissa really reflected the team, as a whole, nothing short of awesome.

Liz, my consultant is and was on point with the full explanation of the entire process from A to Z. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and passionate about the process of disseminating pertinent information to clients.

“Every single staff member has been professional and extremely welcoming and comforting. My wife had her procedure 10/20 and being an ER nurse herself, she was a bit nervous. However, Jessica got us right in, made me comfortable in the waiting area, which was nice a cool, I even took a nap. My wife says that Jessica explained everything single thing and answered all her questions..she made my wife feel very comfortable, which in turn gave her a great experience. She said she even dozed off during the procedure, which is an accomplishment, because she never does that. Once the procedure was over, I was escorted to her room and Jessica explained everything to a T. She is an amazing nurse and her bedside manner is phenomenal. I arrived at my appointment at 3:48 my appointment was 3:45 the office person said to me did you not get our text say arrive 15 mins early? So much attitude behind that first question then said well fill these out while I see if I can still take you. Huh?!?! I thought most Dr offices give a 15 min grace period?? So I asked if she wanted to check to see if she could take me before I wasted time filling out the paperwork l. She said again with attitude l I’m going to take you if you can fill outs the paperwork fast enough. Again so much rudeness attached. And No that is not what you said. “My experience with this office and consultation has been one I have totally regretted. I was seeking help with body sculpturing and the best procedure that could assist with getting the results I have craved as I life events occur. I have always been in to my health and the desire to look and feel better. I was looking forward to a procedure and services from sono bello team that gave the impression that they cared about my personal goal with my treatment plan. I was deemed it was not in my best interest to go forward with my procedure as I wasn't obese or at physical risk as some other clients. I met with my consultant and thought everything was legit and the sales pitch was amazing to which made me feel more than just a future client but very personable with the entire staff. Upon determining a date to have my procedure done I was made to feel that sono bello was completely in my best interest physical personal goals. Unfortunately, once receiving my down payment and prep for my procedure everything was all smiles but what transpired once the physician team determined I wouldn't be a good candidate to meet my goals as far as my appearance and physical desires I was told I would receive my refund as the doctor recommended this be initiated as I may not be satisfied with what I was requesting upon completion of this procedure. I was told by the staff and not to worry that a refund would be initiated and would be receive this within 30-45 days. So with such a large sum of money I was not comfortable with that response but I trusted there accounting and billing process as to what was conveyed to me as assurance. I am writing this to say that time period has elapsed and I have yet to receive a payment from the business nor has anyone of authority at this location has given a proper response but my refund is still in the limbo. I have called various office as well as 1-800's to get any insight as to if and when I should receive my refund and it what form. I have received ZERO response from any manager or staff as to just say be patient with my own money. Really!!

I hope no one else experiences this and make sure you ask pertinent questions if you ever visit this location or this business as a whole because, they will tell you be patient or someone will reach out to you but you will surely be at the mercy of this business when they get to your claim.

I can honestly say that I had heard of Sono Bello for years and I just thought they had longevity in this industry and there reputation was of good value for the client. So not the case... Beware if you fall in to a such a criteria as you may not be told of the difficulty getting your refund upon signing the contract for the procedure.”

“Unfortunately, my experience was not what I had hoped for. My nurse did not have the best bedside manner, and made a situation where I was already nervous that much worse. Every question I asked, or trying to make small conversation to distract myself, she was short and snippy in her responses and had some unkind opinions she wasn’t afraid to share. She was wonderful when the surgeon was present, and I adored my surgeon, Dr. G- but my whole experience was pretty clouded by the treatment I received from my nurse sadly.”

“After being told at my recent consultation that I would be waiting an additional 45 min to be seen (ended up waiting about 15-20 min past my appointment time), I wasnt feeling too confident about the process. But when Liz called me to the back and proceeded with the consultation, she really put me at ease. She apologized for the wait as well. Liz really made me feel comfortable with my body, the process and what Sono Bello can do for me. I wasn't rushed or pressured to make a decision. Her knowledge of the financial process and the patience to explain the process was top tier. Her personality was so warm, I felt "at home".

“where is the 0 stars? if you're looking for excellent or even good customer service, don't go here! despite all the bad reviews out there, I had a good experience at Sono Bello Norfolk, before Covid. It is no longer the same. Why has everything since Covid changed? People no longer return phone calls. In June, I went in and spoke to Ariel, the sales manager. Who was very nice. I agreed to have the doctor "stage me" for certain areas that I wanted done. She wanted to put me with Dr. G because he had worked on her family, and she had nothing but good things to say about him. At my preop appointment, the nurse was snarky. Made my husband feel very uncomfortable for sitting too close to the door. After meeting with Dr Gilbert , he completely changed up everything that was to be done. They had me sign papers and didn't give me any copies. Next thing I know I see charges in the amount of nearly $20,000 on two credit accounts! I should have been nervous and excited for surgery the next day. instead, I was nervous and ambivalent. However, I thought maybe they were having a bad day so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I was told I'm going to get the doctors cell phone number for contact. At checkout, the receptionist seemed very confused and asked if the amount on the papers was correct. Should they not know this? I didn’t receive copies of any of that paperwork.
I prayed the next day that I would have a different nurse. The next morning, met at the door by nurse Lauren, who is very friendly. She stayed with me through the whole procedure. Having been a nurse myself, I question why no IV antibiotic. She tells me that they don't do the IV unless they're taking skin. But they're still cutting skin!
So I go through the procedure after the doctor telling me he's going to contact me the next day. My husband was left out front so he assumed they were giving instructions to him. I received medication to put me in light sedation, but I felt a lot more pain this time. I also noticed after the procedure that it doesn’t appear like they used betadine for skin prep. Thought it was a standard of care in an OR setting.
I had my procedure on a Thursday. I received no phone calls on Friday. Over the weekend, I looked for the Dr’s number because I had a medical concern. After looking through the paperwork that I had, I realize they didn’t give me anything from the preop appointment. I didn't have his phone number anywhere! Attempts to call the office only received voicemail. I waited and still no follow-up calls.
On Postop day 5, I finally reached the office and explained the situation. I can't get through to the practice manager or Ariel, the sales manager. I called the ambassador team and they try to put me through to either Lauren or Dr. G. They attempt to put me on with the nurse from preop! I don't want to deal with this office anymore. After six attempts to reach the doctor he finally called me from his cell phone. I explained to him that I will not be coming back into that office. He apologizes for not following up.
After not having received any follow up calls from the practice manager, I file a review and a complaint, with the Better Business Bureau and dispute all the charges. After the preop appointment, they charge me $20,000 for everything I had planned to do. I have not had any of it done!!! And where did my $2500 deposit go? I am not paying what they're charging me! As a human being and a medical professional, I am appalled that I have not heard back from anyone! I didn't receive a second stage garment or any follow up. So that needs to be taken into account. Please for your sanity do not go to this office!!!
I should have gone somewhere else. But because of my past experience with the place, I told myself it was going to be great again. But the customer service is nonexistent. Now I have to dispute 2 credit accounts, and waiting to hear back from my Better Business Bureau complaint. I will follow up this review if I ever hear back from anyone to resolve this. Pigs may fly first!”

“I sure wish I would have read these reviews before I wasted my time driving here. My appointment was supposed to be at 1:30pm today and I was asked to be there at 1:15pm. I was there on time. I was also told consultation would take 45 mins. Several people came in after me and were seen. I finally went up to the desk at 2:00pm and I asked when I would be seen and was it normal for appointments to be running behind. The receptionist was friendly, but she mentioned she “thought” it would be at least another 45 minutes before I was actually seen. She really wasn’t sure. “I normally don't give a review unless the service or my experience was horrible but I had to this time, after so many negative reviews I've read. I am a week out from my procedure which was done on 3/23/23 I've always wanted to get my stomach done because I felt like nothing I did help so I started looking at other doctors and watching how they did the procedure but was too scared to follow through. My biggest fear was going under general anesthesia and not waking up and having a drainage tube "A definite NO for me" Somehow I came cross Sonobello first thing I did was read reviews, and followed their IG page. I seen so many amazing results but no one in our area, and not too many reviews to go off of so I decided to do my research. I went for a consultation and that went well "with Liz" she did not try to sale me anything I didn't ask for and was so sweet and fun to talk to. At the time of visit I discussed upper lower abdomen and sides. I went home thought on it and did more research. I watched several YouTube video's and I made my mind up. Paid my deposit had my Pre opt done by nurse Carissa, very nice and sweet person who answer or returned my calls to answer any questions i had before my procedure. I met Carissa and Dr. Gilbert my surgeon at the same time. He came in told me how the procedure would go and asked if I had questions, I discussed my concerns and he explained everything to me. Very nice and soft spoken guy. I actually added on my bra rolls after speaking to Dr. Gilbert "my choice" because i wanted to knock everything out at once. After meeting with Dr
Gilbert I even did my research on him and seen how many years of experience he had and was happy they paired him with me. Day of procedure everything went as planned I actually started 30 mins early, I was greeted by my nurse Laurette who was fantastic! Super sweet girl. She explained everything she was doing before hand. During the procedure I did not feel much of anything maybe like 2 little pinches near my rib not even the numbing part.The cocktails they gave me had me so in and out of sleep the 2 pinches didn't really bother me. He asked where did I feel it at I pointed and went back to sleep lol I don't know what else was said but I do remember him telling me to move about and to stand up one time but beside that the cocktail did its job! I cant say I have a high tolerance for pain because I don't I can bare pain to a certain extent. Even days following the procedure I was just sore and stiff no major pain, mainly after getting up and out of bed and when sitting and standing up. Im still a little sore, swollen and bruised but nothing major. I have been up and mobile since the night of my procedure. I have not had one negative experience with this company or the staff even down to the front desk staff. They answered my questions and wasn't rude not one time to me. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of my nurse today at my 1 week appointment but she was sweet as well. I almost forgot! The day of my procedure i went home and i got sick from the pain meds which i knew would happened because strong meds like that does that to me but i was light headed and vomiting, i called Dr Gilbert he answered first call and explained to me that was a side effect of the meds and to use extra strength Tylenol instead. We hung up and he called right back to make sure i had some with me and told me to rest. The next day he called me early in the morning to check up on me to see how i was doing and to make sure i follow all post procedure instructions. I also received a call on Monday from someone at Sonobello to check on me and to make sure everything was going smooth. One thing i learned in my adult years is you can't satisfy everyone and it's always gonna be someone who has something negative to say or unhappy about something, So do your research and don't just go off others opinions. My experience has been GREAT! Dr. Gilbert and my team was amazing! and I'm am happy I had the team I had and I decided to follow my gut.”

He made sure I was comfortable with my decision and I felt safe every step of the way. Alex was a wonderful nurse during my surgery very responsive before during and after surgery, knowledgeable, safe and kind. I had my first post op apt with Hadelyn and she was amazing. I brought my husband in with his questions as well she was so knowledgeable and patient with us and by time we left the office was closed. We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. I’m still healing and in the next 2 to 3 months I’ll be on to stage 2 with Dr. Centeno. Normally I would wait until I’ve completed my process to leave a review however every person from the front desk when I walked in to my post op apt has been so great I wanted to post while in process.
Update: Completed stage 2 the last week of December and still think Dr Centeno is amazing he even called a couple times after the surgery to check on me. My experience with the office wasn’t as smooth the 2nd time which was a bit stressful. I again reached out to Liz for assistance and she straightened everything out within a couple hours. While at my preop apt they were unable to find my record initially, then the billing person came in with it saying I owed more money and she couldn’t find my apt. Alex was my nurse and found the paperwork in my record stating what I paid for and Liz fixed the scheduling. All worked out in the end but like I said it was stressful. I had the abex, thighs, and knees. I will say that the biggest impact is the hips and abex for sure. The thighs and knees aren’t as huge a difference. I see it more in the fit of my clothes than overtly obvious but I get it. If you take too much from the thighs you would end up with really loose skin and Dr Centeno let me know that ahead of the procedure. The lipo on the thighs hurt apparently a really sensitive area and the recovery from the abex was more difficult than the hips by far. It was difficult to stand up straight for at least a week or two which makes sense because of what the surgery is. It took a sec after standing to stretch out. One thing I didn’t think of was that I would end up with a new belly button. I don’t know if that happens for everyone but it never occurred to me to ask. Hadeyln has been amazing and supportive. She has answered all my questions and offered great suggestions for healing. Overall everything turned out great and I am really happy with the results and Dr Centeno.”

I gave them $2500 but didn’t want to give more until I saw a doctor. I was on vacation when I got a message saying sono bello was going to charge another $4500. I still hadn’t seen a medical person. Apparently I had signed a payment plan in the papers that I signed and I had the payment date wrong. I thought it was the same day I saw the doctor. So I call this PCC and tell her I will bring her cash on my doctors appointment day. she says well that is gonna be a late fee!!! I had had it by that time! My husband and my friends told
Me it was a sign not to do it. I finally made it
To the doctors appointment and he changed everything for me. He was so nice, and informative and showed me the scar was going to be low and showed me how my other scars healed and they didnt look bad. He calmed my nerves and answered my questions without making me feel stupid or defensive. He and my nurse during (I don’t really remember after) the procedure were fantastic! And I love how I look.”

“My initial thoughts on this practice were great. Fast forward several weeks and my surgery was denied due to an allergy. I can live with that, however, this is something that could have been stated that the initial consultation rather than waiting until the preoperative appointment and having the physician say I was not a candidate. I was told that I would receive full refund since this was the Physicians decision. Fast forward almost 3 months and I still have not received the refund I was told I would receive. I have called this practice numerous times and I've even gone into the office and have been given the runaround. I was told a refund for my payment was mailed out in February but after a month of waiting I still have not received it, the young lady I've been communicating with said that they would send out a new one and they would put a tracking number on it. Fast forward another month and I still have yet to receive my refund. I don't understand how they expect full payments for surgeries but, then when faced with having to refund that money they can't do so in a timely manner. This apparently is not the first time that this has happened to people requiring refunds for denied surgeries, though they've happened in other states. Unfortunately the next steps will be to go to the local news channels and if need be hire a lawyer. It's not like we're talkin a few hundred dollars, no this is several thousand dollars that these people are playing with.”

“Seriously your office isthe entire reason why so many Hampton Roads citizens prefer travel to other Locations because the marketing BMI lies & fees schedules are undisclosed with rude professional bias & prolific waiting rooms times. I actually heard an office clerk get nasty with a senior citizen mom.
The surgery fees you bill alone isn't worth the deplorable professional ethics you have to deal with as they assume as if people have dynamically lost their common sense.😏 From a medical ethic stand point I find it Culturally abtrusive to make patients wait in any waiting room for 3hrs...Namaste~”

“RUN AWAY!
My first appointment, I wasn't seen until 2 hours after my scheduled time, I see the rep who is not a nurse, not a doctor and tells me that they can absolutely get rid of all the loose skin on my stomach. For the next 4 days I call, text and email to give them my money. $12,000 spent. Next, I meet my doctor the week before the procedure. He takes about 2 minutes with me then the nurse giving me a list of things I need to buy that costs almost $300. Why did I get the upgraded package?!?! Day of the surgery, it's 6am, it's just the doctor, a nurse and me. The surgery actually went well but I wake up wrapped in binders and no explanation of how to take them off and on. I come home and once the lidocaine wears off, I'm in the WORST pain in my life. I was also told I'd be back to work in 3 days. 3 weeks of teleworking later (because I couldn't sit up), I was told told I should have been off work for several weeks... o.0 I have 3 follow-up appointments, all with LPNs who tell me after my complaints that it's all normal. My binder wasn't even ordered until my 2 week check up. AFTER MONTHS of horrible pain, infections and pull inches of stitches that were pushing through my skin, I had to almost scream at a nurse to get me to have ONE follow-up with the doctor. He comes in, doesn't wash his hands. I make him put on glove. Here I am almost a year later and I am STILL in pain, the scar looks like I was in a horror movie, I'm completely lop-sided and none of my clothes fit anymore because the way my body is now disfigured. The manager called me about my complaint and said she would schedule an appointment with another surgeon to see if the issue could be resolved. That was supposed to be January 9th. Luckily, I called ahead because they had "no record of me having an appointment that day". The front desk said they would have the manager call me. Well, 2 weeks later, no call. $12000 to be worse than I was before, treated like crap and being avoided.”

I arrived 30 minutes early to my consultation which was scheduled for 10:30 AM, filled out all the paperwork and waited. And waited. And waited. I came all the way from Yorktown and sat there for over an hour waiting. And every new person who came in after me went in and I waited. I asked how much longer and they said they only had 2 consultants and would get to me soon and then 5 more people came in and got called while I waited. I have read other reviews that mention similar issues, and it's true. The front desk staff is just pitiful. They don't offer water, or anything to make you more comfortable while you wait. They don't even keep you posted about what's the delay. Bottom line, I didn't feel comfortable enough to give this place my business. So I left.”

We never felt rushed and her compassion and kindness was very welcome and often missing in other doctor offices where you feel like one of many and not an individual. “First of all, the only thing good about this place, the staff is very friendly. That’s about it. You don’t see the Dr for the initial consultation, you see an office member. Not until you pay in full and the day of your surgery, do you meet the Dr. Dr Kaplan was great as well but according to all the info, there is little to no pain. Untrue. It was extremely painful. Then the compression garment they gave me was too big. I called and told them and they said a smaller one would be shipped out. It never was so I bought my own. My results after the swelling went down were some lumps and ripples. I came in to have the skin treatment done that’s included only to find out that I would have to purchase several more treatments to see good results, another couple thousand dollars. I was extremely unsatisfied and upset, asked to see the manager who never came in so I left. Also spoke with corporate who never got back to me. The office has since never called, never made a follow up appointment, nothing. I haven’t seen my Dr since the surgery. Haven’t heard from them since I expressed how unhappy I was. Bottom line, they want your money then they don’t care about after care, after affects. Period. Awful customer service. And too much money for what I got. I’ve had to pay several hundred dollars for lymphatic drainage massages to help with the lumps. Absolutely ridiculous. Also the wait time for each appointment is insane. I waited over an hour each appointment.”

“Dr. Kaplan is a excellent surgeon. His bedside manners, professionalism and work is awesome. However, the SONOBELLO brand/staff is far from that. The front desk staff and management are unorganized and lie to save face. I had a bad experience with one of the RNs. I contacted SONOBELLO customer relations supervisor to report the incident. I was promised a $100 gift card that I never received. The Office Manager from the Norfolk location called me to apologize for the Nurse behavior and promised she’d come out to speak to me and check on me at my next appointment. To this day I have not heard from nor seen the Office Manager. During one of my follow-up visits I discovered that the same RN had me purchase a $40 ointment that the doctor never recommended. I mentioned the ointment to the Office Manger and told her I needed to know if the Doctor actually wanted me using it. She told me to “definitely keep using it and send me pictures of your incision so I can personally send them to Dr Kaplan”. I never heard back from her. The most recent incident involved them booking me and another customer for surgeries one hour apart. While leaving my preop appointment I overheard the receptionist telling the other lady that they’d get her booked for her appointment since she was previously given a time and date but it wasn’t on the books. The time and date that the receptionist mentioned was same day as the date I was booked for and one hour apart from mine. The next day I got a call from the sales agent that booked my appointment. She offered me another surgery date and ironically she was able to offer me a lower price on an add-on I was interested in. I told her it was to close to the date for me to ask my driver to change their work schedule. We agreed that I’d keep the surgery date and time she’d given me. Less than 15 minutes later I get a text from the Norfolk office saying that there was a change in my surgeons schedule on my surgery date so they needed me to change my surgery date. I explained to them that I’d just talked to the sales rep and we agreed that I’d keep my original date and time. They offered other dates and asked if I could make them. After checking with my ride I told them that the other days were too short of notice so, I’d have to keep the original date and time they gave me. Fast forward to today(day before surgery), I get a test from one of the RNs saying that my check in time is xxxx. The time she gave me is 3hours later than what I’d previously booked for. I called to office to see what was going on. The receptionist said the surgery before mine is going to run longer than expected. I asked her when did they find that out. She side she didn’t know. It’s clear to me that they’ve had this planned since the day they discovered that they’d booked me and the other lady’s appointment too close together. This is the 3rd time that there have been issues with appointments after they’ve booked me. I respect honesty! So, they could’ve been straight forward and said we messed up and need to reschedule you. Instead, they chose to lie. I live two hours away from the surgery center so last minute changes are an inconvenience. I’ll be glad to get the last part of my procedure over with. I hate that I’ll have to have four follow-up appointments with them. I highly recommend Dr Kaplan but the only way I’d chose him again is if he have a private practice outside of SONOBELLO.”

“I am currently 12 days post op from the TrisculptEX procedure. I had a great experience with them leading to surgery. On surgery day my nurse was wonderful. Procedure went great. After getting home the first week of recovery was very difficult which is expected. My main concern and greatest question is "Why no drains?" The swelling and fluid retention is the worst. I felt like my skin was going to break open. I do not feel like I drained well. I got a lymphatic massage 6 days post op (which was against the orders I was given but I was desperate for relief) I suffered the most that night but went to my 1 week appointment feeling much better which I attribute to the massage. I feel alone and unknowledgeable in this process most days but the periodic informational emails I receive from time to time help. I find myself seeking more info online daily and I did research ahead of time but it's very different once you're in it. I am pleased with my progress and I am happy with my new belly button because I was really nervous about it. I am looking forward to less swelling, bloating, and fluid retention so that I can really see my results. My belly is a bit bulgy right now. The fupa is gone but the upper and middle abdominal areas are protruding beyond what I would like to see. It's still early and I'm patient. Overall I am content with the services. I just think that I should have gotten drains. I forgot to ask on surgery day and when the meds wore off and I could think and see straight I was disappointed not to have them. I believe they could have progressed me further than where I am now. But I believe that I am in a better than expected level of healing right now, which is great!”

“My procedure was done last Thursday March 31st 2022. Their policy is that they contact you the next day to see how you're doing but I have not heard from anybody since I have my surgery done. I called them over 4 times I've text and I've left several voicemail messages and no one will return my calls they haven't even set me up for my 1 week Post-op surgery which is now past a week. It's like as soon as they get your money that is it they will not call you back they won't further any more of your health care or anything. I had laser lipo with skin removal done that means that I have stitches and still no one is answering my health and care questions even though that is what I paid them thousands of dollars to do. I now have to seek outside professional help from a surgeon in order to continue my care to make sure that I heal properly and that all my medical issues are addressed. My advice don't go anywhere near them they're going to take your money and as soon as they have your money that's it.
I should have known when they made me wait 1 1/2 hours just for my counseltation.”

“I have never been so unhappy with a business like this before. Second time rescheduled for a procedure. I had to stop my medications twice, 2 weeks prior. I was brought in for a pre-op, given procedure date and instructions and the first date they gave me was canceled do to schedule conflict and second date is now canceled 3 days before procedure because the doctor has plans to go out of town. You don’t run a business like this, I get things happen but when a patient takes off work, stops medications, buys pre procedure products and then canceled three days before is just unacceptable. I guess when you pay up front this is how you get treated.”

When your initially told most swelling will be gone in 3 weeks. So do it before vacation. Then to Find out afterwards it’s 3-6 months. Not unhappy with work done. Just honesty would be appreciated. My wife is in tears when she could have done it in a month instead of rushing it and feeling a 20k vacation celebration is ruined. Since she wasn’t big to begin with”
