I’m currently mid-journey with Sono Bello San Ramon and wanted to share my experience so far.

From the moment I walked in for my initial consultation, I was greeted by Mahsa, who genuinely made an impact on me. While it’s clear she’s in sales, Mahsa has a way of connecting on a deeper level. She didn’t just see the extra weight I was carrying in my midsection — she saw me. Her warmth, encouragement, and ability to help me envision life after this procedure played a big part in my decision to move forward. She helped me feel hopeful, and like I was making a powerful decision to change my life.

I had my first procedure on May 28th, and from check-in to post-op care, I felt well supported. I was understandably nervous, but my nurse for the surgery (I’m still trying to get her name so I can thank her properly) was so kind, reassuring, and empathetic. She stayed with me the entire time and made sure I was emotionally ready and as comfortable as possible — even at the end, when things got a bit tough. I really made a connection with her.

Dr. Agu, my surgeon, removed 5 liters of fat in phase one. While the end of the procedure got a little tough pain-wise, overall it was tolerable, and the team did what they could to keep me comfortable. Recovery has been manageable, and I’ve been feeling stronger every week. I’m now 7 weeks post-op — still sore in some areas, but moving around well and seeing real changes.

I’ve also been getting lymphatic drainage massages (through an outside provider), and they’ve made a huge difference in my healing process. I’d absolutely recommend adding those if you’re going through this journey.

My second phase is scheduled in a couple of weeks, and I’m feeling optimistic and excited to complete this transformation. I’ll be sure to update this review afterward, but so far, I’ve had a very positive experience with the staff and care at Sono Bello San Ramon.”

“My wife had a 11:30 appointment for liposuction at the San Ramon location. We arrived at 11:20 we were greeted right away filled out the tablet and sat down. In less than 5 minutes they called my wife in. They asked me if I wanted to wait in the family room and I told them I would just come back. I was told come back in 2 hours so I confirmed 1:30 you want me back and she replied yes.

I went and had lunch shopped in Costco across the street came back at 1:30 and told them I was here for my wife. At 2:00 I went up a requested to know when my wife would be ready to leave? 5 minutes later I was told she was out of surgery it all went well and my wife should be out in 30 - 35 minutes. She stated the reason she was late was the procedure before took longer. I responded I will go for a 30 minute walk and come back.

We live in Santa Cruz 80 miles away so when I arrived back at 2:30 I told the receptionist I was told to come back at 1:30 it is now 2:30. Traffic for the way home went up by 25 minutes in those 30 minutes. I was told she will be out soon.

at 3:00 I went back up and request to know when will my wife be coming out and I wows told she is getting dressed and drive my car around back for pick up. At 3:10 after sitting in my car I went back in and asked the receptionist agin when is my wife coming out. She went back and someone who had some kind of authority and attitude started to explain to me each procedure is individual and the time will vary, I the explained to he I was told 1:30 she wanted to know by who I told her and she left.

10 minutes later I was brought in for the pre operation check list. The other women came in and starting to tell me this is hoe long it takes. L told her veery communication I was told was incorrect and she left.

We got in the car at 3:30. Traffic on 680 is a nightmare and highway 17 is now in full commute traffic. at 5:15 we walked in the house. We left at 10:00 got home at 5:15 and had zero communication or accountability for the delays or miscommunication.

Do yourself a favor go to a local surgeon. Our derision has a practice 30 minutes away. If I knew that before I would have paid more for the procedure.”

“The staff has been amazing! The contact via staff members and videos have been beyond excellent. Every member on the staff who I was in contact with has been very kind. They even made accommodations via Pilar to change my one week follow up to a day earlier due to excessive rainfall, as we live a few hours away from San Ramon. Dr. Egu even called me personally a few days after surgery to check on me. I will definitely be referring people to Sonobello, San Ramon. It has only been 12 days since my surgery, but I am extremely happy with the results even though I know swelling still needs to subside. They have a wonderful team in San Ramon!”

“It was a little hectic in the morning because it sounded like someone who was flying in was running late. That’s not the problem. I stepped outside to use the restroom and the pretty blonde who checked me in AND gave me directions to the bathroom, when I came back asked if I had an appointment??? What.? You just gave me directions to the restroom. It felt very impersonal. The music being played at the front is totally appropriate. Not only was I shocked at the choice of music for a professional medical office but others in the waiting room were commenting the same. We are not in a club in Miami. Otherwise, my visit was great.”

“The worst experience literally paid thousands of dollars not only to not get what I wanted but to be discriminated against and treated like garbage. I was supposed to have revisions and 3 compted additional areas. This did not happen! The day before my surgery, they didn't even know I was there for pre-op or that I was supposed to have surgery the next day! I was assured everything was okay for surgery. Things went dramatically wrong. Not only was I informed to pick up meds after surgery, but when I showed up the next day, I was treated disgustingly. I was looked down upon and eyes rolled because I didn't have the medication I needed. I went into surgery, and I was in the worst pain of my life because I didn't have the proper meds administered prior( my whole body was shaking on the surgery table the whole time) . I do not blame the surgeon, although I am not surprised she left because she was not happy with Sonobello methods as well, concerned about her pay. I did not get the proper care or treatment. In fact, I was rushed out of there as if I was scum of the earth. I was not prepared in advance of all the items I needed and had to get a lot of last-minute items. When I went for my first check-in, the nurse lady didn't even see the progress either and informed me that they didn't even want to give me the compression garmet. She said she would reach out to the team about my second surgery and concerns, and I still haven't heard from anyone. Also, to make matters worse, not only being ghosted by the clinic but also Abby Kerr  I  Sr. Patient Relations Manager, she won't respond to any of my calls, texts , or emails. This has been going on since December of last year. How professional is it to ghost a patient/ client when that is your whole job. I will not be taking my review down until I am completely satisfied, which is how I was tricked the first time. Sonobello are are scammers and not true to you their word. Please take your money else where. You will be happy you did”

“Very poor customer experience, went there for a consult with an appointment. Their office was understaffed for the number of patients they had booked. Waited for over an hour and they said I had to wait a couple more hours before my turn will happen. I walked out of the office without a consult and someone did a tele consult based on a couple pics I sent. It was so unprofessional and random. While I was waiting I spoke to a few other people there as well and they were very unhappy with the post op service. It almost felt like they were running it like a sweat shop. Would not recommend.”

“Visited the Sono Bello office in San Ramon for a FREE consultation and it was a really positive experience. The office is located right off the highway on Old Crow Road. The business is located in what is seemingly an industrial park in a building on the first floor shared with several different businesses. The office is midsized and the consultation lasts about 15-20 minutes. When you go into the office, you’re asked to fill out a 4-5 page questionnaire with questions about your health history and health goals. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. One unique aspect is that staff have also had some of the procedures so they can share first hand knowledge and answer personal questions you may have. Sono Bello has over 90 locations nationwide and has countless customer reviews. One thing that you won’t see on social media is that if you elect to have a procedure, they offer a “satisfaction guarantee.” If you’re not happy you can have another procedure at “no cost.” The prices will range based on what you want to have done. The more you have the less it costs. Anticipate spending somewhere between $5000 - 10,000. There is a financing with a partner they use.”

“I have been talking to them about getting a liposuction for my tummy and sides for weeks and they told me they could help me with that I even sent them my pictures to make sure liposuction was right for me and they said yes it was. And when I went for my consultation, the lady that spoke with me I believe her name was Maria, told me that I am not a good candidate for liposuction and I need to do a tummy tuck which I didn’t want. They made me fill out 10 pages of papers, they made me wait for half an hour in the waiting room and finally after examining my tummy they tell me I’m not a good candidate for liposuction? How irresponsible and unprofessional of them. I’m very disappointed. I do not recommend these people at all.”

“I paid 8K for my belly and waist to be done. I am 10 weeks out and don't look great. I followed all the directions perfectly. My weight is the same. My clothes fit the same. I have no idea who gets these great results out there, because I was told I was the idea candidate and I look exactly the same as before, except that my belly area is wrinkly and looks pretty bumpy. I cannot wear a tight shirt without a shaper under. I can't really wear much without the shaper, to be honest. Not at all worth the money. Go to a plastic surgeon office not this chain, I’m sure they will have a better trained staff, a permanent physician and you’ll be happier with your results. I’m so sad I trusted Sono Bello. ”

“Loss 11 lbs 3 months after surgery but that’s with diet and working out. Noticed huge inches off my waist and belly, but it kept coming back if you don’t work out religiously. It’s not permanent. 6 months after surgery i was 7 lbs lighter from my pre surgery weight. I gained 4 lbs 3 months after the first 3 months. Noticed belly inches were coming back if you don’t have diet and work out plan. 6 months after surgery I loss 8 inches off my belly size. Like I mentioned, surgery is not guaranteed. More like cheating to go down weight and inches quickly then maintain it from there. This surgery is not a permanent fix. You need to work out and diet to maintain the result of the surgery. If not, your just wasting your money.”

I was told by Amanda (patient coordinator) by email on Feb 5th that the request was being sent to the accounting department. “My experience from the consultation, operation and 1 week post-op appointment was great. Dr Satay was very informative. He answered all the questions I had. Even after the operation, he replied to my text. I was so relaxed and didn’t feel any hesitation on the operation day. The post-op nurse was great as well. I could’ve given 5 stars but the ladies at the front desk during my post-op were not that friendly. So, I checked in. They normally give you a questionnaire. The lady at the front desk said “clean pens are over there”. I was happy about the clean pens! Then some lady came in for her operation. I was eavesdropping, the lady at the front desk handed her a pen and said “use this pen, this is better”. So I looked up and a little annoyed. She was given a better pen because she’s white!... I let it go. So after my consultation, I was ushered to the front desk to schedule my next visit. After I’ve given her the date I just stood there waiting for her to tell me whether I’m all set. The lady took her time and then she looked up like a bit annoyed with the face like “what the heck are you still standing there look for?” Then I said “am I all set?” Normally they’ll tell you if you’re all set, right? quite frankly that was not very nice!!! I don’t know whether I’m done or they have any other things they’re going to tell me or remind me, so I just stood there. So shocked to see unfriendly people like that especially in this kind of business. I actually have neighbors and friends who are interested in the same procedure but I’m not sure if I’ll recommend them to get things done in this establishment. Even after only 2 weeks, I can see a big difference. Quite happy with it. But because of those ladies at the front desk, I’m not sure if I’ll recommend.”

“It was a very easy procedure, a little uncomfortable maybe once or twice but all through the procedure the Dr. kept asking me if I was ok every few minutes, until he was done .All the girls made me feel real comfortable , they asked me if I had any questions, and if so they would be right there to answer them. Dr Setea explained every detail to me over a few times, so if I had any issues to let him know. I felt at ease with the staff and knew I would be taken care of. The Dr. was there to great me on my 1 week check-up, which was nice. Amanda answers all my calls and constant reminders about my appointment.
