“This review encompasses my experience with both the Sono Bello Silver Spring Consultation Center and Baltimore Surgical Center.

Procedures Done: Chest, Upper and Lower Abdomen, Waist, Abex, Back Bra Roll, Upper Back, and Inner Thigh

Cost: $20k+

Would I recommend Sono Bello: Absolutely NOT. Sono Bello operates as a high-volume business, prioritizing throughput over patient care. Even for those seeking cost-effective, speedy procedures, I'd steer clear of Sono Bello. They conveniently omit the fact that they charge separately for each body part, a revelation that can significantly inflate costs. It would always be recommended that if procedures are chosen for your Upper Abdomen to include the Lower Abdomen? Clearly, Sono Bello's focus is on quick, minor procedures and rapid turnover.

Do I regret my decision: Absolutely NOT. However, I'm deeply disappointed. Despite my optimism for positive healing results, I'm left disillusioned by the lack of professionalism and respect displayed by Sono Bello.

One significant reason for this review stems from a glaring "error" made by the Silver Spring consultation center. Despite clear communication about my desired procedures and a provided quote, I was blindsided on the day of my second surgery. Less than one hour after being discharged, driving home, still under the influence of post-operative medication, I received a call informing me of a "forgotten" charge. This blatant disregard for my well-being and legal rights, coupled with their inability to adhere to basic protocols, is inexcusable. The fact that they had the audacity to request approval for additional charges while I was not in my right state of mind, still recovering from the medications, without giving me the common courtesy or decency to wait until the next day or when I was in a clear state of mind, is utterly reprehensible. How dare they!!!

The nursing staff at the Baltimore location was lack luster at best. Their incompetence ranged from a lack of knowledge to the point of me calling another Sono Bellow location for information, to dangerous mishaps during procedures. The nurse assigned to me demonstrated a shocking lack of proficiency. During the IV placement procedure, she struggled to insert the needle correctly. Her repeated attempts resulted in an excruciating mix-up, causing IV fluid to spill into my bloodstream, causing intense burning sensation. Despite her evident struggle, she persisted, attempting multiple times and failing, before I firmly refused further attempts and demanded another nurse. This negligence and lack of basic skill highlight the alarming inadequacies in Sono Bello's patient care standards.

Due to their overwhelming patient load, attempting to contact Sono Bello for assistance or clarification proves futile. My advice? Seek answers from alternative Sono Bello locations, if at all.

I am on a journey of recovery and healing, I remain hopeful but cautious. Should I consider further procedures, Sono Bello will not be my choice.

Tips for prospective patients:
• Be aware that the number of procedures performed is contingent upon weight and BMI, often necessitating multiple surgeries.
• Follow-up appointments solely involve photo documentation, with no opportunity for direct interaction with doctors.
• Do not expect personalized attention or pre-surgery consultations with doctors.
• Review cost breakdowns meticulously; Sono Bello charges separately for each treated area.
• Prepare for significant post-surgical discomfort, despite claims of minimal invasiveness.
My experience with Sono Bello has left me disenchanted and dissatisfied. Proceed with caution, and consider alternative options before entrusting them with your care.”

“1st off the scheduling rep that sent me the text for the appt did not include the suite #, floor or parking instructions. When I got to the building, I called the silver spring off to inquire where to park. She informed me where & said they're on lunch & off doesn't open back up until 2p. Even then she did not mention what floor or suite #. So when i got to the elevator P1 I had no clue where I was going. So i called again & obtain the info. Now here goes the worse part. I got inside the elevator & press # 8. But, it took me to the 11th flr. That elevator refused to take me to the 8th floor after multiple tries. It took me back to P1 where I got stuck in the elevator & door would NOT open. So I panicked & pressed the alarm button several times. This is because of the employee's lack of customer service. Thank God the elevator took me back up to the 11th flr. When the door finally opened, there was a lady standing there waiting for the elavator & she was the one who told me I could not go to the 8th flr w/o a key fab. She was the one who told me I needed to go to the 1st flr & ask security to allow me to get to the 8th flr. That is very significant info your employee failed to share w/ a pt who has a consultation appt for the 1st time, don't you think... So unprofessional that I had to make 3 calls to get to your facility. The only person that changed my mood yesterday where I decided to continue w/ the visit, was Lauren. Management really need to coach the scheduling staffs to include that important piece of info when scheduling appts with Pts.”

“Great experience during my consult. The young lady at the front desk was patient with me not being able to find the location to assisting with parking. My actual consult was with Lauren which went so well I decided to schedule for the very next week. She was helpful and took time explaining entire process which went just as she said. I did have some concerns and suggestions for the actual surgery center. Yumi and my initial nurse the day of was great. The other staff could use some practice with bed side manners to include the doctor. I'm okay with different personalities but they should have at least a couple staff members who could make the process less scary. I wish they would have sent me home with medicine to help with relaxing the day of. Again my triage nurse was great along with Yumi however the rest of the staff came across a bit cold and inpatient. I've lost a lot of weight and wanted to take care of my remaining trouble spots. I booked surgery and put down a $1k down-payment. Less than 2 weeks before surgery, I found out I needed a pre-op appointment because I read through my paperwork. No one had told me I needed to schedule one. I called and they only gave me ONE day and time they could do. I did it even though it was way out of my way because it was my only option.

The surgeon was very nice. He was very upfront with me about how the surgery I was scheduled for, wasn't going to give me the results I wanted. Why on earth would my consultant have scheduled me and had me pay for something that I couldn't have.

I was told over 2 weeks ago that my refund had already been processed. Since then, I've been waiting on my calls to be returned. Today, I called the other office in Baltimore, just for them to tell me that MY REFUND WASN'T PROCESSED. I'm out of a grand because I went with a company who I trusted going in.

I'm nervous I won't be able to get my money back.

Tonight I decided to email them asking about the status. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!?! THEY BLOCKED MY EMAIL.

I don't know how their actual surgical services are, but in terms of trust, relationships, customer service, and finances, they are NOT reliable or courteous at all.”

When I walked in I was greeted with warm smiles and social distancing. There weren’t other patients near me in a crowded waiting area which is important to me. “First let me start by saying that David have a well spoken phone presence. He has a calm cool and welcoming demeanor, and one of the best direction I have ever gotten from someone. When I entered the office he was on the phone but looked up just enough to acknowledge me, he finished up with his call and then greeted me with a smile and welcomed me. I mention to him that his facility is much more calm and welcoming than the Hanover location. I mention to him that I had a not so welcoming and pleasant interaction at that location and he was very apologetic to me. He gave me my paper work to fill out and then to me that Danielle will take care of me. He then handed over to another grate experience. Danielle was very apologetic about my experience and promise to take good care of me, and that she did. She too her time explained the process, she was supportive, understanding, great listener, comforting, caring, and most of all not pushy or overbearing. The facility is clean open lite and very very calm, their demeanor put my mind at ease. After my Hanover experience, I was very reluctant to attend today's consultation and wanted to bother at all with the process. I am glad that I went, because it change my perception. I am very very big on professionalism, and hold places that is providing a service to me on a high standard. Thanks to David and Danielle Sono Bello has a high standard of professional standard with me well the Silver Spring location, they get a gold medal 🏅 from me. Hanover can take some pointers from them.”

This place is extremely unprofessional and they mislead people just to sign and get their money. All they are after is your money. After they get you to sign, it’s all down hill from there. I agreed to the procedure and gave 2k for deposit but my doctor advice me to not proceed with it. The next day I called and told them that i wanted to cancel and the lady name Daniel become very rude. She refuse to even pick up my calls or refund my money. I’ve called three times a day 2 days in a role and the receptionist keeps saying that she’ll call me back but never does. I have gotten a lawyer and planning on taking them to court if they don’t refund my money.”
