“If you have time to waste, this is the place to go. I had an appointment scheduled for 12:45 on Thursday 2/13/24. I arrived at 12:25, completed their paperwork and haded to the receptionist at 12:40. Waited in the reception room until 1:15. At which time two young ladies came in. At 1:30, they were called in after completing their paperwork. At 1:40 I went to the front desk and expressed my concerns about sitting for over an hour, while these young ladies were sent directly in after 15 minutes. The excuse free m the receptionist was; “I’m not sure why, probably the person doing your appointment isn’t ready. There was a guy behind the counter with a medical mask hanging from his neck, smiling, replied; “you have to understand we have people coming land going”. My reply, being the only person in the reception room for the past 45 minutes was; “Obviously you consider your time valuable, but you can manage your appointment times, being concerned about other people’s time”. Both this individual, and the receptionist made very light of me waiting over an hour, with no one else waiting, until the two young girls went, after being there less than 15 minutes. The only reply from the receptionist was; “Do you want me to shred your paperwork”? If you have time to waste, these people will definitely waste it for you.

You can tell their number one priority is letting you know what steps to take before, during and after your procedure. Though they are not a private practice type of facility they never lose focus on their purpose and to me was not a pushy/sales type experience. I will say this, also when I was standing in front of three or four people that I had never met in a paper string bikini bottoms and top normally, this should make you pretty nervous. I ALWAYS had pain meds if I needed them. That would have kept my pain level to a possible 3. While working I chose less pain medication so I would know how to maintain what work was safe for my body. That was with AbEX I believe. Procedure 2, was very manageable so far on Post Op Day #3 as I write this review. Also started work back on day 3. “This is an update from last post: I had my 2nd stage 6/4, and I contemplating canceling more than 1 time. However, i am thrilled I did not, and I should have waited to write a review until I saw my final results...I have to say I really LOVE my results this time. I know what to expect the 2nd time around. Recommemdations: Do your own lymphatic massages, stick with a healthy diet/exercise, wear your compression garments (regardless of being uncomfortable), and keep moving.
It is worth the time, money, and discomfort. Also, be your own advocate..the Dr revised my previous area of concern with no hesitation, and the 2nd time with the completed results are amazing. You won't be disappointed!!!

Let me start with the staff is friendly and it is a new facility. I was very excited to have a Sonobello here. I didn't want to travel outside the city for a procedure. My recovery was relatively easy..I was up moving in 2-3 days. Back to work in 4-5 days. That part is very alluring to all busy working moms who can not take off weeks at a time for surgery, plus finding someone to take care of you while your down. The Abex was great and worth the $$$. That specific area looks great. He did wonderful with that area.
Now here is my issue with their business practices. Be prepared to not speak directly to the Dr until pre-op, AFTER you schedule your surgery date, and have paid for your package/procedure.
I scheduled pre-op and met with the Dr, then he adds 2 more areas that should have been better explained to me during my consult. My consultation was not a very thorough examination or assessment. Personally I felt it was a bait and switch tactic. So you could commit, sign the dotted line, and now you need more funds to get more additional areas the Dr recommended.
Now, what if I wasn't able to afford any additional areas, and only budgeted for what was presented to me during my consultation? Luckily, I was able to, but what if?? That seemed like unethical practices to me. You should be able to speak with a Dr, NP, RN, or someone with clinical experience before you decide to spend $10-16k.
Second, I thought I was going to have everything done in 1 procedure, for them to tell me I needed to schedule my second stage. Which I wasn't prepared for, and I'm having to schedule more time off from work, child care, etc etc.
Third, if you do not go to your follow ups, that may affect getting a revision...
So make sure you go to your follow ups!!!
Fourth, after 6 months, I still have skin or a stubborn fat pocket that was an area of concern from day 1 after my procedure. I thought it would shrink over time, but it is still there. Even after several flimsy garments they provide, which give no contouring what so ever. You will have to be proactive and find your own shapewear to get the desired results you want. Also, I was advised with the nurse (since I haven't seen the dr) during my follow up, that the Dr will not be able to revise that area because it is loose skin. WTH!? And again, I still haven't seen or spoken to the Dr after ANY of my follow ups to see if there is any modifications or solutions that he can do. I will have to schedule my pre-op for the second stage in order to speak with him...Which I am STRONGLY reconsidering NOT getting my second stage, and canceling all together..
Overall! my results are OK..I love not have a fupa, and a flat pubic area, the fact of being able to go back to work quicker than traditional surgery is a huge plus, also being able to move after 2-3 days is another benefit. There are pros and cons with sonobello. I wish I truly loved my results, but I'm left feeling MEH! 😞”

“The staff were extremely nice and welcoming, but I think my results are just okay. The main issue is that I stated my love handles were my biggest problem area in addition to my mom fupa, and I was told lipo of the waist and upper/lower stomach would be ideal with AbEX. So I assumed my love handles would be taken care of under lipo of the “waist” area. However, my love handles are still here and even more prominent now that my stomach and waist is smaller, so obviously they were not included as part of waist. Possibly a lower back area (which I still should have been properly informed at all appointments). It makes my results look crazy. I don’t blame Karena at all, and I love how open and sweet she was during the initial consultation. I had another appointment before surgery date where I met the surgeon and he actually did look at my body and look at what I planned on getting done. His only recommendation was adding pubic fat removal or something like that? But I do feel that the during the moments I got marked up someone should have taken some time to explain to me the areas marked, and then I would have understood my love handles were not going to be touched. Which is actually kind of funny because those areas were definitely marked on, but the surgeon was in the middle of a procedure and could not take time away to go over anything with me. I think the nurse was just there to be there, but also did not say anything. The appointments took super long just to get to the back (in the wait area for about an hour), and weren’t informative at all when I did speak with someone in the back. I would sit in a room in the back for over an hour too before someone would take some time to talk to me. I tried to be understanding since each time everyone was in the middle of a procedure, but I mean I spent a lot of money to be feeling this disappointed. I honestly didn’t even want to leave this review after seeing so many great ones, so I waited and waited to see how my results progressed. Haven’t been back for any post-op appointments after the first week one, and it’s been about four months. I think I missed my 1 month appointment, but my 1 week one was so awful I just really didn’t care or see the point. So no post op appointments after the first week one. I think I’m just going to take this loss, but I wanted to share my honest experience. My AbEX results are amazing though no complaints there at all!”
