“This was the closest procedure place from the Des Moines, Iowa area. I came here twice. Spent over $18k all together. The first time the high pressure sales rep charged me for three areas but wouldn’t let me change my mind. She made it the office’s problem by telling me it gets corrected during the pre op. The entire office was confused that I changed my mind because it should’ve been decided before my pre op. I had no idea. Not my job to know. The doctor who was a plastic surgeon couldn’t do my knee area and explained why, I wasn’t expecting that and wasn’t prepared to have to make a back up choice. He recommended my waist, inner/outer thigh. I only had a minute to decide. I agreed. As I was going into the procedure I felt like it would make more sense for my waist, hips, outer thigh, but it was too late. As I was healing my hips poked way out abnormally. It looked so bad because of how much fat was removed from my waist and outer thigh.
It wasn’t a big deal because the sales rep told me I could go back within a year and add on at the add on fee and not the surgery fee also.
Three months later I really wanted my hips done. Most important area to me. I dealt with a different sales rep which wasn’t surprising. She told me something completely different that I had to pay the surgery fee. She told me she could get me an area for $300 more than my original add on fee and not pay the surgery fee. I had to get three areas. I picked my hips and two other areas. I asked for the same doctor from before and was told he was asked not to come back because he hurt a patient’s feelings. Not the fact that he was being flown in from a different state which I didn’t know until this all blew up. Of course the sales rep said I can get you with this really good doctor during my availability time. She was also flown in but wasn’t told that either. Went to the pre op. The doctor said the previous doctor did my hips. I explained that he hadn’t and showed her on the diagram the areas even though they had my information in front of her along with pictures. She was trying to get me to have a “tummy tuck” saying the one that was done by a real plastic surgeon years ago wasn’t done right. Haha! The first Sono Bello plastic surgeon before her complimented it and he’s not that type. After that pre op appointment, I was ready to walk away which caused the high pressure sales rep to go into overdrive to tell me what I wanted to hear. She reassured me that I was going to get my hips done. Had the procedure, my hips didn’t get done! The doctor went into the waist area the previous doctor did. I had so much pain for a long time. Still swollen in that area at the three month visit. The sales rep knew, so did Emily about the refusal of the doctor not doing my hips. I was the only one who didn’t know I wasn’t getting what was most important to me done until it was done and there was no change in that area. It was then that I learned you don’t have to be a plastic surgeon to do plastic surgery with Sono Bello. The board certified is misleading. The doctor that wouldn’t do my hips was a general surgeon only.
A real plastic surgeon will sit down with you during the consultation. They don’t need a high pressure sales rep. Plus you can see their before and after work.
BBB is the place to go where they can’t control what really goes on like they can these platforms.”

“Sono Bello Review: My Experience with TriSculpt and AbEX Surgery

I am currently two days post-op from a full torso TriSculpt and AbEX procedure with Sono Bello, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process. Every step has been smooth, professional, and patient-centered, so I felt compelled to share my experience. My goal is to highlight the excellence of the Sono Bello team and procedures, provide an honest perspective, and encourage those considering this transformative journey.

The Process:
Sono Bello’s cosmetic surgical procedures are broken into four main steps:

1. Consultation (Free)
The consultation process was straightforward, professional, and free of charge. During this step, all my questions were answered, and Courtney helped me feel confident in my decision to proceed. While I did encounter some reviews during my research describing this step as "high-pressure sales," that was not my experience. Instead, the consultation was educational, and Courtney clearly understood the services, recommending only those appropriate for my body and expectations. She helped me spend my money wisely to ensure the best possible results.

2. Pre-Op Exam (Included in Pricing)
The pre-op appointment was detailed and seamless. Everything I needed to know about preparing for surgery was thoroughly explained, ensuring I felt well-informed and comfortable going into the procedure. The staff and my surgeon, Dr. Vo, had an excellent rapport, which gave me confidence that I was in great hands.

3. Procedure (Paid Service)
The procedure itself went smoothly. As I was the first patient of the day, a nurse met me in the parking lot and escorted me to the surgical suite. Pre-op began with a pregnancy test and the insertion of an IV for antibiotics and emergency use. Dr. Vo then came in to mark the surgical areas on my body.

Afterward, I was given oral medications to help with drowsiness and anxiety. From there, I remember very little about the procedure itself. While it wasn’t entirely pain-free, the discomfort was tolerable, lasting only seconds per area. I even slept through parts of it, waking occasionally to gentle prompts to reposition myself for surgical access. The professionalism and teamwork of the Sono Bello staff created a relaxed and confident atmosphere, reassuring me of their expertise.

4. Post-Op Follow-Ups (Included in Pricing)
Though I haven’t had my first post-op appointment yet, it’s already scheduled for a week after surgery. The Sono Bello staff has made scheduling incredibly easy, sending helpful text reminders to keep me on track. Typically, post-op visits include 3-4 appointments, depending on the procedure. I’ll update this review if needed, but based on my experience so far, I anticipate positive outcomes.

My Recovery Journey
Two days post-op, I’ve resumed much of my daily routine as a stay-at-home mom homeschooling school-age children. I’m not taking the prescribed narcotics, so I’ve been able to drive my kids to activities, prepare meals, and even do light chores like folding laundry (though I’ve avoided heavier tasks like carrying baskets).

The soreness feels like the aftermath of an intense workout—manageable with the prescribed dose of ibuprofen. While I’m moving a bit slower than usual, I’m pleasantly surprised by how quickly I’ve been able to bounce back.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I can’t say enough good things about Sono Bello. Their team, procedures, and patient-first approach exceeded my expectations. If you’re considering this path, I hope my experience provides you with the confidence to take the next step.

“First, when you enter the clinic, they're fantastic. Customer service is on point.

However, if you try to reach them by phone, you can sometimes wait up to a day before they respond. Their responses are not always very informative.

For example, I had a simple question regarding my surgery. The incision line had opened up and was leaking. They got back to me and said to put a band-aid on it and keep the compression garment on. I asked if I could keep the compression garment off for over an hour to let the scabs dry and heal, and they said no. It got infected, and I ended up having to go to a wound care specialist because the wound had started tunneling. This means bacteria had gotten into the wound and tunneled underneath the skin. Thankfully, what the wound care specialist gave and the treatment they recommended fixed the issue. But if the Omaha clinic had just asked for more details and not just brushed me off on the phone, this wouldn't have become an issue to begin with.

So if you decide to use this clinic, be aware they're great when you enter but crappy when it comes to getting back over the phone.”

“Don’t do it I’ve been trying for 3months for them to correct my account. I had my procedure back in April I took off one area which changed the price of my procedure. My care credit was still charged for the removed area and I have been calling, texting, and I went up there to talk to someone. And they promised to have my account refunded back. It still hasn’t been done, I’m still calling and now about to head back up there to get on Tim’s neck!! All they do is have fake smile and promise work they are lazy to do! It’s been 3months still haven’t had my 3month check up that are evading me!! If you do go with them make sure you accounts wasn’t charged for something your not getting. For my over all procedure it was all go until I got on the table and in my drugged mindset I try to tell doctor Armstrong that it was hurting me and her response was that if she stops the procedure was over as I was just trying to let her know I can still feel some parts and it hurts. But I we in and out of sleep and all I can really remember is that when she went over those parts that weren’t numb enough I jumped out of my sleep state and was trying to move away. But again I couldn’t fight back even if I wanted too! So do your research there are others good practices out there that I’m sure can do a way better job. Be aware that when you go up there, they’re all gonna be nice and friendly in your face and they all gonna have those creepy smiles and making you feel like everything is going to be OK and taking care of it. They’re gonna do their jobs when they are not they don’t and you really gotta stay on top of them to do the right thing Again, I’ll be going up there today or at least trying to go up there To fight for my account to be fixed after three months! Ps. Do your research on your Dr!!”

When I completed my intake paperwork I disclosed all of medications and surgeries I had including cancer, they sold me 3 Venus treatments and then told me I couldn’t have them because of my prior cancer diagnosis also there wouldn’t be a refund. The manager Tim did decide to refund me two $50 gift cards and when I asked about the third gift card my last appointment was canceled and they haven’t rebooked it yet, at this point I feel they owe an additional $50 for the third Venus treatment I purchased and the cost of last appointment I paid for that they cancelled. They shouldn’t have sold me Venus Legacy when they knew if you have any form cancer they’re not supposed to let you get them”

She was not able to answer my questions on how much fat was removed and could more be removed. I’m not fully satisfied with results. Another appointment had to be scheduled. I would really like to know if I’m eligible for an enhancement to remove more fat cells before I have to make another trip up. If I’m not able to then the trip may be a waste of everyone time if I’m just going to be sent home with no follow up procedures as part of my 100% happiness guarantee.”

“I love going to the SonoBello-Omaha! I have never been to an office that is run so efficient and is so well organized! From the minute you are there you are felt as though you are the most important person there! I had just sat down and was welcomed back to the clinic room by my nurse, she checked me in and left me to change and as soon as I had finished the surgeon came in! Like I said, efficient! Dr. Armstrong and Shirley were a delight! They were very professional yet compassionate! I had a whole page of questions and Dr. Armstrong ( knowing she was busy ) gave me her undivided attention and patiently answered all my questions! Shirley also was the one to take the pictures, yes THOSE, pictures! I felt so embarrassed but she immediately put me at ease and ma de me feel comfortable. I simply loved her and even requested her to be with me during my procedure!

“Very nice office and both staff members I talk with were very nice and very professional. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the pricing. Hardly affordable for most people. Almost $9000 for a belly roll (or a they say "upper abd, lower abd, abd waist). I just cant figure out $1895.00 for EACH of 3 areas plus a "Diamond PLUS recovery package" which I understood was a binder that costs $921.75 AND then there is a "Surgical Fee" of $2495.00!!! What is the 3 charges of $1895.00 for as the same fat sucker machine is used by everyone and just the tips/hoses are disposed of. ? This should be all covered under that surgical fee and a small fee for using the room which I understood wasnt used for long. Oh and then on top of all of these exorbatant fees they charge you for a PRE OPERATIVE appointment for $495.00! That should be included. From what I saw, most of the staff looked like they had taken advantage of the "perk" as they were slim and trim even though that might be a pre-requisite to work there. Courtney was very nice and professional but I dont know a lot of people that can throw $9000 to do this. Lower their prices to the surgical fee only would increase their business substantially! I d have done it for $2500 but not $8346! Those people on TV got that done for being "paid advertisers". ”

“I just had my surgery yesterday. I”ll review my experience so far. My pre-op visit was informational. They explained what to expect and I was able to meet Dr Vu. She was very personable and knowledgeable as what would give me the best outcome for my surgery. At the end of the pre-op appointment I was given very detailed verbal instructions and also detailed written instructions. I was called 2 days before the procedure with a time to arrive at the center and reviewed day of procedure instructions again.
The day of procedure was well organized and prepped quickly after I arrived. Dr. Vu came in and marked up the areas she would work on and I was given my meds for the procedure. The procedure went great. There was very little pain and I actually slept through most of it. Would highly recommend Sono Bello Omaha.”

“I would give this facility negative stars if I could. I work in the healthcare industry and the lack of care and compassion this facility and “medical professionals” offer is disgusting and unacceptable. Do not get any procedures done here if you want to have any amount of comfort during or after surgery (lipo and Skin removal is what my sister had done twice because they did a hack job and incorrectly the first time). They are okay with you feeling THE WHOLE SURGERY and they expect you to poison your body with ibuprofen and Tylenol (her surgical cut goes from HIP TO HIP). They were okay with her feeling her whole revision surgery which cut her from hip to hip… elective surgery or not people deserve to have proper care. If you enjoy pain, suffering and terrible medical care get your work done here. Fake and generic medical care, if you can call it medical care at all. I am passionate about patient care and it made me sick going to my sister’s follow up appointment with her. This place is a joke, do your due diligence before choosing this facility.”

“I had liposuction in May 2023, so I am almost 5 months post op. I am very happy with my results so far. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The procedure went smoothly.
There are a couple things that could have been better. First I never received my before and after pictures. Second I was told I would be able to go back to work in 2-3 days. What should have been said is everyone has a different recovery time based on your procedure and profession. I am a truck driver I went back to work three weeks after my procedure but I really needed 4 weeks. Third my after care instructions were vague at best. Drink a gallon of water per day, walk and eat healthy. There are many other things you can do to speed up the healing process that they don’t tell you about. I wish they gave me more options with my after care instructions.
Overall it was a good experience. After about 30 days I started to see results and I am very happy with my results so far.”

In response to the one-star review: the CONSULT PROCESS IS NECESSARY because pricing is determined by a combo of what you want done & your BMI. You really can find all the info you need on their website, but to get into specifics and actually find what they can do FOR YOU and find out cost, you absolutely need a consultation. There really isn’t any pressure to commit right away- Courtney is wonderful and will get you every possible discount offered (different specials each month or so) and she will let you walk away to think about it.
I happened to be there the last day of the month, and that particular discount was going to be lost the next day, but I knew I wanted it, so I went for it and decided on TriSculpt. However, we discussed if I would want to do more and have the AbEX procedure instead. She was super helpful and understanding and gave me amazing discounted quotes that I could still take advantage of after speaking with Dr. Vo during my pre-op. I was so thankful for this, and was very comfortable when I had my pre-op and decided to go with AbEX! Since I already knew what the additional cost was going to be, the decision was easy!”

They don't even have you see the Dr. before you pay the 2500$ "non refundable fee." They have a medical device rep fill you full of information, take your money and when you finally see the Dr for the consult they tell you it's not gonna give you the desired results you're looking for. Don't you think you should meet with a doctor first before you pay them??
Whoever built their model clearly has no strategic planning education..
